Here's an idea for the 20th anniversary...

Maybe it's just me but I think the deleted scenes in GB1 and those never seen before from GB2 should be brought back in the movies and sell it as a director's cut. It would be fun to see everything that had been cut out… at least the scenes that exist on the laserdisc and the DVD editions. I was very dissapointed when I saw that GB2 (I ain't the only one for sure) had absolutely no special features.

And if you ask me, Yes, they could make the picture as beautiful and clean as the rest of the movie because if you look at Superman, the 8 minutes that got back into the film were a total crap… but with digital technology, it's easier to clean all this mess and make a cool, clean and fun new transfer… Who would like this?

A director's cut of a movie is made when a director didn't have final say on the final edit of the movie, the studio or producer did.

Reitman had final say on Ghostbusters and the deleted scenes were scenes he himself cut out of the movie.

It's an interesting idea, but after having seen the deleted scenes, I think it would only spoil the pace of the film to add those scenes back in.
