I'm glad to be here with you all and at this awesome site which I discovered a couple weeks ago. I'm 16 years old and live in Chicago, and I'm a big fan of horror and cult films from the 80's. I have a question regarding Slimer. Which Slimer do you think is the coolest looking? There's the GB'84 Slimer which has little eyes, a pushed back nose, and crooked teeth. Then there's the RGB Slimer who had big cartoony eyes, a little nose and a tail. The GB2 Slimer was different from GB'84 Slimer, being it had big yellow eyes, a more human nose, and more straight teeth. And last, there's XGB Slimer which is the Slimer from RGB, only with a darker look with sunken eyes with dark underneath and big arms and tail. IMO, the GB'84 is the coolest and my favorite since it is the first Slimer, and because he doesn't have a tail. When I look at Slimer now, I don't like him having a tail like in the cartoon.

I like the Slimer from GB2, it had more character then the first. I dont know about the Slimer from the cartoons, I love the movies so I have always avoided watching the cartoons, cartoons based on movies always ruin what the movie was about.

to your question, i like the cartoon slimer the best.
as for you jim, you do not know what you are missing.
the rgb catoon is the whole reason a 2nd gb movie was made.
i grew up on it and i just can't believe you haven't seen the cartoons.
it is my belief that the cartoon was the best thing for gb. some of the best animation/storylines came from the cartoons. you might want to watch some episodes on this sight. i'd suggest the collect call of the cthulu, or flip side. some of the greatest ones there.

I like the Original Slimer best, just because of the ballroom scene where hes trying to drink the wine and its just falling through him, its great.

I gotta agree with the JabMan. The GB ‘84 Slimer is the best IMO. He’s small, fat, ugly and grotesque. And he's funny!

I don't think you can really compare the movie and the cartoon designs, but I like the original spud from the 1st film. The only thing is he's a little ‘too’ transparent, but it gives him a more ghost-like quality.

I don't like the Slimer from GBII cause they redesigned him to look more like the one from the cartoon, and just made him look kinda goofier. He seemed a little too large and elongated too, I think cause it was a ‘guy-in-a-suit’ instead of a puppet like in GB1.

I'm relatively new here too. Ghostbusters rule! ^_^

'84 Slimer RULZZZZZZZZ!!!

I like him best, because he is really UGLY and HORRIBLE, but also really funny and perfect for the film!!! When i saw ghostbusters for the first time as i was 8 or 9 years, i was really scared of slimer and i had Nightmares…

But now i am fascinated… he was a puppet, and they moved him so good… thats fascinating!
