Whatif SOny sold GB (since they seem to think it's such a dead frnachise) to Rouge Pictures, let Ramis and Aykroyd get together with the writters os Shaun of the Dead(they couls even be new busters) and write the thing. That seems resonable to me…that way it's not sold too hard, it does'nt get bombarded by too many up to date fx, and do to the actors, still have a good comedy element….::sigh::…thoughts?

Sony may not be willing to do much with the franchise, but it's doubtful they'd ever sell it.

Especially when there's the potential to make more money even if they won't take up the opportunity.

Plus, it's different to write a horror comedy and a sci fi comedy… no idea if Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright like Ghostbusters, although that pic of them outside the Firehouse would suggest they are…
