Only the special effects were outdated and the haircuts and the music. Not the story.

How is the story not dated? It's not like the whole end of the world thing was anything new at the time. In fact the idea of Ghostbusting wasn't exactly new either *cough*, but it was presented in an interesting way. But the idea of Ghostbusters is quiet dated. That doesn't mean it's bad though.

Seriously, is there any real point to these topics you're creating? I'd be much more in favour for you to create one topic, titled “Movies I'd like to see remade” rather than you creating a new topic for every movie you think needs a update.

Holy Crap! MORE Remakes?!? God, if you're listening… Stop Hollywood before they are despised by all Humanity and if not, just smite them to tiny pieces or force them to watch pointless sequals/remakes that will turn their minds into giant globs of grey goo. Please.

I cherish Home Alone. Home Alone 1 & 2 were hilarius. The other ones were (obviously) made to cash in on the franchise. This is HORRIBLE.

Don't get over-excited. Even though Ecto-2009 has been starting tons of threads about supposed remakes being made, this one is just about his wish that they would remake Home Alone for some reason. There's no credence to this. Its just his wishful thinking.
