Hot Wheels 1:64 2010 New Models GHOSTBUSTERS ECTO-1

Today I looked more closely at my newest ECTO-1 and saw that the white paint appears to be so thick on the back that the indentations to show the outline of the rear cabin door are hardly noticeable, and the same is true with the cabin door's handle and its row of vents. But it's hard to tell for sure if the actual metal body of the car is not shaped properly or if the paint went on too thick and filled in the indentations that were made on the car.

It's like the rear cabin door doesn't even look like a door. Instead it blends in with the car's body. It's strange looking.

I foolishly ran to ebay months ago to get one of these. Since then I've found about 5 of them on the pegs. Two of them were last Friday at an out of the way K-Mart.

I hadn't noticed that they have different numbers on the cards now

The ECTO-1 with the number 25 on its box looks like Jay Tigran's ECTO-1, but the first one with the number 27 on its box has what I would call a totally flawless paint job.

Has anyone else noticed a difference in the paint job quality between the different boxes the ECTO-1s come in?

The only problem with your argument is that picture that I took, is a 27, not 25.

Okay, so if yours came in a box numbered 27, then there may not be any connection with the box numbers. I'm guessing now that it's random, some have slightly different paint jobs than others, even if they come in the same box style.

Ordinarily I don't think anyone would even notice this minor difference between the cars, but I like to analyze things closely.

What do you need ten Hotwheel Ecto-1s for? (*winston)

Well, I got multiples as well (some with pristine logos, some with logos that don't look so great). But to help explain why people want more than one:

1 - #25 regular release to keep MOC
1 - #25 snowflake release to keep MOC
1 - #27 regular (long card) release to keep MOC
1 - #27 short card release to keep MOC
1 - Any release to open and display stock
1 - Any release to open and customize (And this could actually be more than one based on the types of customization you want to do - Ecto 1, Ecto 1A, Ecto 1B - personally I was doing good just to paint one to look more like the Ecto 1.)

So that's a list of at least 6. Then if you add in the SDCC Ecto into your number, you are up to at least 7, with minimal extras to customize.
