Speaking of scalpers, I saw a Hot Wheels ECTO-1 on ebay with a buy it now of $49.99. The starting bid is $9.99, but somebody would be crazy to pay $50, along with a $6.25 shipping fee.

I did a search on Ebay a while back ago and someone actually paid around $40 for one…

I checked ebay just now and saw one for sale in the same state I live in. So now I at least know they're here. Though I still don't know where to look, besides Target of course, but that's too far for me.

I visited 3 Targets and 1 Wal-mart yesterday in Southern Cali and I had no luck….I'm going to try looking at another Wal-mart and possibly a few more Targets.

Toys R Us are getting them in this week. I work at a TRU in florida and I found one in the set on the truck this week. I can confirm its only one per box (a hotwheels box contains 72 cars). 1$ Hot wheel cars all have the same skin number so each car to them are all the same… 1 Per case is pretty rare, but hotwheels sell pretty well, so ask stores when there next truck is and keep checking. TRU'S are the best places to look.

Hot wheels are 1$, I really think some people are expecting way to much detail for a 1$ toy. I think its cool they even did one, im happy with mine.

ill be grabbing most of the ones that come in. I was kind of hoping mini mates would release one to the mate scale.

I did a search of the thread and didn't see this listed. I don't know if it's good news at this point or not but: Target “snow” varient cards are now showing up on Ebay. So for all of us who can't even get our hands on 1 regular Ecto (personally I really want 2, one to open and one to keep mint), there is now also a varient out there is you want the complete collection.
