it could start of now with the gb's their ages now. they could be on a job, and get into an arguement on who started the gbs or something, and then we would….~flashback~…and find the gbs in high school. you could show egon working on some ghost detecting equiptment, and ray could be investigating an allegedly haunted library. and peter would be…..well..peter. i'm not sure how to fit winston in yet, and i'm thinkin' slimer could be who is haunting the library……..what do you guys think?
the only main problem would be finding the perfect actors..

that sounds awesome, as long as it doesn't get out of hand like star wars, people are just not getting into it anymore, but a pre-when they were in high school would be sweet. an original idea. great thinking

Dude, you can't technically even consider a prequal without at least a trilogy. Besides, the first movie sets all that up anyways. There would be very little for them to build on anyways. THe first movie even achnologis that the ghost in the library was the first they ever saw in their lives. Besides, when I movie that hasn't been out in 15 years tries to do a prequel, you end up with what happened to star wars. You have to be very carefull or you'll end up screwing the movie. Don't be stupid, do a third movie first, and then think about a prequel. Given that none of them see a ghost till the first movie, ya might be able to pull something off with thier parents or grandparents (parental influence if ya follow me). but be very carefull of the thin ice your on.

I don't believe a prequel would work. They become GBs in the first one, and they were only in college before that.

I'll have to agree and say I don't think it would work. It's a good idea, and all, but the first movie started out pre-gbs and then they became gbs, it was allready set up.

I came up with GB Evolution (nothing to do with the movie Evolution, although I ripped off the title from X-Men Evolution wink ) where it's present day and the GBs are in college and then it goes through the whole process of everything: How they became GBs, where the idea started, and etc., although it would be a bit different from the movies. Kinda like Ultimate Spider-Man. But, sadly, the project never moved from the sketching process (am I lazy, or what?).
I like your prequel idea.

Perhaps for a made-for-TV miniseries or something, but for a theatrical release, I don't think it would fly. Not much plot, if you ask me. And technically, there's no pre-GBs to go to – they were formed in the first movie. That's what the first half of the first movie is about! If, on the other hand, you want to tell how they first MET, then that's different. However, I still say it would be better for a TV release, not theatrical.
