How about putting in this ghost in GBIII?

I know you guys think i'm full of ridiculous ideas, like having Dana kick ass in GBIII…

But how about this? Actually making this ghost appear in the movie and the guys going after it to capture it…They could say that their Logo outside their firehouse came to life, I don't know maybe with the spirit world 2012 merging into ours causes ghosts in logos to come to life? who knows, but wouldn't it be cool to see him in the movie trapped?

Now I don't know his name, but I remember seeing him walking on the streets at the beggining of the real Ghostbusters, so he must be canon.
discuss.

I think he's had several names over time, from Casper to Buster to others. I don't think it really works in the movie universe to have him as a ghost though. (1) The movies have a completely separate canon from the cartoon. (2) In the movie he would be too generic to make for an interesting ghost. He looks like a cartoon ghost - which is why he works as their logo, but the actual ghosts they bust through the movies have been much more involved/gross/different colors/etc. It would seem to me that them busting a ghost that looks like the sign ghost would be a step back from what we've already seen in the movies.

And you're so far not disappointing.

The logo appearing as an actual ghost would be too cartoony compared to what we've already seen, and may see if the third film ever gets made.

I'm pretty sure we all know that's a redundant question Jay.

I know…but the sheer lack of knowledge from a person posting on a board specifically about ghostbusters just scares me

My guess is that you guys arent open to my idea…or anything that steers off from the originals…

And I bring up again the star wars prequels…where lucas totally made a different universe with different characters and new planets and locations…new ideas and designs..

the olders fans were very upset with Lucas, as they wanted the same thing, like Han solo, luke and leia.

but not me as i'm open to ideas.

People are open to new ideas. Just because people don't like your ideas, and find them to not fit with the franchise, doesn't mean they're not open to new ideas.

And I'm sorry, but the fact that you have to bring up Star Wars in every post… not going to be taken seriously. You've made it abundantly clear that you're a Star Wars fan, who dabbles in, but knows very little about, Ghostbusters.
