Hi Ghostheads,
I apologize for making myself and the updates scarce as of late. Starting today, I am going to make a consistent effort to work towards Ghostbusters.net 2.0.
The first step will be migration to a new platform where the Ghostbusters Blog and Ghostbusters Message Board will be relaunched and merged with the posts and user accounts from the archived Ghostbusters.net. After which, Ghostbusters.net 2.0 will begin to unfold.
As always, Ghostbusters.net belongs to the community. I merely assemble our wishes into something which allows us to express our excitement and appreciation for Ghostbusters. So help me kickoff the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters by sharing your ideas on how we can improve The Ghostbusters Message Board.

Hey Chad, first of all, thank you for the great site! Honestly and most likly sad to say but I check it at least once a day if not more.
The one thing I would say would be cool to add, would be the quick links to the movies, like on the old site. But add more pictures, youtube videos, do props, but base all the props under, each movie, cartoon and game, so if you want to go and look up a RGB PKE meter, then you can just click on the RGB link and look up RGB props and you can find it really easy instead of asking on a thread to find, props. Thats my two cent, I really liked the old site the way it was, but I love this message board but I guess just really a mixure of the two would be fine.

In my opinion the Archived user database should be left archived.. unless user accounts are going to be re-initialized. (Meaning they need to be approved by sending an email to the account holder). Looking at the current message board software with its 310 active users tells me that out of those nearly 8000 users, only a few hundred are left with active emails and are wanting to come back.
I know you want to focus on “Quality” so that would be a good start. I don't think you want users like: 121881, 1234, 123456, 1234567, 1234ere etc. (Those are examples from the Archived GBN). After all, you wouldn't want to claim to have a big site when the majority of your users haven't visited for 7 years.

I say give moderators the ability to ban users who spam and such. And sig images.

to be honest i think these forums are run really well i don't think anything majour needs to be changed since in my experience of past forums i've been too, when a great deal of changes happens it typically ruins the forums and turns them into the complete opposite of well organised and a fun place to communicate with people…they turn sour 
If there was one thing i would change it's the allowence of having animated/ .gif avatars but keeping the file and size limit of them to a certain size like no bigger then 100x100 and 100kb ?
