…. shoot with the Proton gun???

I saw i few good pictures of the proton gun, also of good props… and i saw on the proton gun are 4 “buttons”

On the left side is: “Activate” and “Intensify”
So i think activate is to turn on the Proton gun… and what is intensify? Is this the “button” for shooting? (i am from Europe, so i dont understand perfect englisch so good )

And on the right side are two “buttons” with 2 symbols… for what are those “buttons”???

Hope you can answer my questions!

the “intensify” switch would be to make the stream stronger…and more dangerouse…

the activate switch just turns the gun on…

the actual button to shoot the streams, I believe, is on the handle itself…

I have looked at some Pics where you see the Proton gun very clearly and you can see all details… but there isnt a “button” for firing at the handle… there are just 2 on the left and 2 on the right…

For what are the Buttons on the right side? IN the first movie when they attack Gozer you can see, that they activate the gun with one button on the RIGHT side!!! So whats then with the ACTIVATE Button on the left? Hmmm… anyone knows now for what the 4 buttons are????

When I seen Ghostbusters 2,there was a button on the left side(the small box right by the hand)which the use to shoot the stream.There was no button on the handle.Same thing for Ghostbusters 1.

The labels were just there to be there.The INTENSIFY push button on the side “trigger box” activated the barrel strobe light and the ACTIVATE switch activated all the lights on the gun and pack.The two toggle switches on the main gun body were for show.Watch the courtroom scene in GB2 and and it will confirm this.Some may point out when the guys used one of the toggle switches on the main body to activate their guns while fighting GOZER atop the apartment building in GB1 but that was because this was a closeup model which was activated off screen-(watch the original Ghostbusters documentary from 1984 included on the COLLECTORS SERIES GB1 DVD.This will be your confirmation).
