Well, even if he is showing up sparingly throughout the new stories, maybe they can edge into why they call him “Slimer,” or who named him that. After all, this is the stuff that happens before the movie (right?) or just after the whole Gozer incident. Slimer would still be new to them, unless it's what happens prior to the movie, in which case there was no Slimer or Onionhead or Spud yet. :O

KWilliams, in Citizen Ghost, Ray named him Slimer, after Peter “sort of” suggested a name to call him, whenever he saw him, b/c he was still made about getting Slimed by him at the Sedgewick Hotel.

I just read in another thread that Bo started that states the stories will begin after the movie, which is a cool idea.

Then, if in RGB it's explained that his name is “Slimer” I would suggest they stay away from that name in these comics and call him Spud, Onionhead, slime-ball. I think that will help the continuity from the movie to RGB, even though it's all taking place in today's time.
