I dunno either. Egon looks strange. So dose Pete. Actually I think the all look a bit strange. Give me the Real Ghostbusters any day.

Ray is kinda Chunky. Just look at him compared to Egon or Peter. The Real Ghostbusters over exaggerated Ray's weight, Dan Aykroyd really wasn't all that big. The only character I have a problem with now is Peter, he looks like a cross between Mel Gibson and Sean Patrick Flannery.

Don't forget that back in ‘86, when RGB premiered, some Ghostbusters-fans must’ve been pretty dissapointed to see Egon with blonde typhoon hair, Ray looking too fat and all the guys in different colored uniforms…

I'm not saying I was one of them, but I am happy that the new Ghostbusters look a lot more like their movie counterparts than the RGB's did.

I liked RGB, but I was a kid at the time.
These new designs are much better, IMHO; I liked the more stylised, RGB-esque art, but the latest ones really evoke the spirit of the movies.

RGB just wasn't Ghostbusters for me. It was similar, yes, but failed to capture the feel of the movie.

Egon was way too scientific for a start - loosing his dry wit and making him the bore of the group. Ray was way too “happy” and never ever getting angry like Aykroyd's character. Peter just didn't have the one liners Murray had. Sure, he was funny on occasion but it wasn't the same type of humour - he was too nice too. Winstons was done pretty much OK, though - but I'd have liked to have seen look at the other guys like they were crazy at times like Hudson's character.

The look of the characters is what really ruined it for me, though. Egon with a blond quiff and Peter with his especially. So far the comic's characters have pleased me with their design and they give off that movie vibe. As far as appearance goes this is how RGB should have been - better late than never.

In my extremely educated opinion that everyone should listen to because I'm really smart, if only a majority of us like it based on the character art we have been given, some of the rest can be won over with good stories and character development. Put the two groups together and you have a great chance for comic success.
