Why should such an old interview settle things? Everytone knew Murray's feelings on this matter, so none of it should come as a shock to anybody. In actual fact that interview gives me more hope. If he had that much fun whilst shooting it then there is a chance he may do it again for that purpose.

My thoughts exactly. And if the revival does good Sony will want to do another one. And if they wanna do it bad enough, they will offer Bill a big pay check that he wont want to turn down.

I don't think it's really that. I'd say it's more like he's looking out for his career! And I love how he's doing more artsy films! “The Royal Tanenbaums” and “Rushmore” are two of my favorites! I unfortuanetly missed his latest one though.

as i siad in the past, he dident want to do gb2 he was done wtih ghostbusters after gb1, but dan promised him gb2 would be the last one. bill has no intrist in doing a 3rd film, it would ahve been made if he siad yes a few years bacc, but he wanted to much money to make just a apprance in the film so sony scraped the project.

Well yes I can see why he didn't want to do GB2 and why he would ask for a dumptruck full of money to do it. When your career is on the line you're not gonna take a gamble really, especially if it's not something you believe in…and acting is funny that way. Anywhoo I support his decision and I LOVE the movie Scrooged! “No No No No you're not a worm feed! You're a hallucination, brought on by alcohol…Russian vodka…”

i totally agree… we as fans have really nothing to complain about. we have 2 great GB films, as well as a LOT of great stuff to look forward to… such as wes anderson's new flick with murray in the lead.

it wasent cuz his career (well that could be a tiny part but not as big as people think) he does not like ghostbusters as much as some people think. he did not even enjoy doing the first movie so y do the 2, but dan prmised him it would be the last and paid him what he waned (which was a rather large sum)

Hey dude, you gotta have money! Acting is still a job. Besides with a whole new cast and all I don't even think it would have that old ghostbuster feel to it either.
That stuff about Carol Kane though total caught me off guard. I had no clue she was such a whacko!

i know u gotta have money i did acting for awhile, but thats not the point, he was asking for a huge price cuz he knew they would not pay him that amount there for no gb3 like he wanted.

me i dont perosnaly blame bill, dan promised him no gb3 after gb2 and then goes and writes a gb3, i wouldent want to do it either if i was him..and dident care for gb…
