I cannot help but show this off. This is a sketch my girlfriend made of her Ghostbusters character in our on going Ghostbusters RP we have with each other.

Here’s a little information for her:

Age: Early 20’s (I don’t believe we ever stated her age now that I think about it)

As far as a cross-over…I dunno if thats even possible. Our RP takes place in 2008 and primarly invovles (what we refer to as) Franchise 00.

In our timeline after the events depicted in the EGB eps “Back in the Saddle pt1 / pt2” The original Ghostbusters, despite their advancing in age, return to continue their franchise but primarly as an advisory role. After events taking place in late 2006 (a critical failure of the almost at capacity ECU grid like that seen in the movie but far more destructive) a make shift base / Containment Unit as well as a “3rd team” of Ghostbusters was established in order to help with the “clean up” efforts allowing the Flagship team (the EGB cast) to focus on higher priority entities. Jade is “team leader” of that 4 man team and remained with the company due to the adreniline rush she gets from busting ghost…and the fact she is paided decently…if not for those factors she would not remain.

Ok so I decided to add this cause I am curious Doc Fritz’ and a few others opinion of the events / continuity of our RP :

The events of the 2 movies, RGB and EGB more or less remain unchanged (at the moment there have been no real deviations due to the fact we really haven’t focused on the past of much).

As I mentioned previously, after the events depicted in the EGB episodes “Back in the Saddle pt1 / pt2” the original team of Ghostbusters began to remember the thrill of and exhilaration of being a Ghostbuster and despite their advancing ages decided to start busting ghosts side by side with the new younger team. It only took a few cases before it became apparent to them that they weren’t as young as they used to be and due to this revelation they decided to fade into the background as a support role and allow the new younger kids do the job they all loved. With the advent of extra hands around the firehouse, Egon retired into his lab to do his research, while Ray became the “new teams” handler providing them with cases while taking care of the equipment and Winston (along with Ray) started taking on the role of mechanic making sure the vehicles all remained running . The only person really unhappy with the support role was Peter, who tentatively stayed with the team as a PR / figure head of the Ghostbusters while continuing to actively pursue the creation of the second Ghostbusters movie (starring Brad Pit).

Everything had stayed like this for awhile until early in the new millennium Peter (using funds he received from royalties from the sale of Ghostbuster memorabilia, toys, and videogames as well as royalties for using his name in the Ghostbusters movie) began to run for Mayor of New York City. Much to everyone’s surprise (after using his fame as a Ghostbuster as leverage) won the Mayoral election in a landslide. But in perfect Venkman style, in his speech he gave after being sworn in…he quit and walked off the stage (the event was later recounted in his memoirs “5 minutes of Fame: The Biggest Scam of the Millennium” which remained on the best seller list for some time and made him a very well to do man.). Soon there after, Peter returned to the Company refreshed and happy to be in a support role (as it gave him more time for news interviews after the Mayoral scandal).

Tragedy struck the Ghostbusters in late 2006 when the protection grid of the ECU housed in the basement of the firehouse suddenly and without warning breached causing an explosion worse than that of the original breach. Unfortunately, the trademark firehouse, much of the trademark equipment there in, and all of Egon’s research did not make it out this time. Structural fatigue noted by Egon early on exacerbated by years of disrepair caused the trademark firehouse to implode in on it’s self. Due to the danger posed by some of the entities that were released from ECU the Ghostbusters immediately set up a make-shift base as well as a makeshift ECU and kicked it into high gear in order to recapture as many of the “immediate threats” as possible all the while various government organizations breathing down their necks. In order to help with the initial “clean up” 4 additional individuals were hired to form a secondary team to deal with the entities deemed “lesser threats”.

After months of dealing with city and state organizations trying, once again (unsuccessfully) to sue the Ghostbusters for damages caused; Peter used every last penny of his money to purchase the buildings that surrounded where the once infamous firehouse was located and begin construction (with specifications provided by both Ray and Egon) on a new base of operations known simply as “The Firehouse Complex”.
The full city block sized Firehouse Complex opened up in Mid 2007 and just in time as the make-shift ECU was calling apart and almost at capacity (as it was only intended to last a few weeks ]). The Entities in the Temp ECU were transferred to the new and improved ECU v3 and business began as usual

While everything on the surface seems like same old all is not what it seems. Egon has begun investigating the failure of the ECU in 2006 stating that it “Wasn’t an accident”; while both teams have been noticing increase of ghostly activity in the newly established (around the same time as the original ECU failure) HAL Industries warehouses and concern is starting to raise that there is more to HAL Industries CEO Luke Cipher and his business partners Halbert W.S. Hayne and Ivan Shandor .

I forgot to mention…Peter was finally success in making a Ghostbusters II movie and compaired to the first movie…it was a Financial flop. He is currently in talks to have the cast of both movies return in order to make a 3rd movie to make up for the second movie….but the actor who played him refuses to return for a sequel.

I´ll post some sketches I made about a new Ghostbusters I made early 1995… just before Xtreme GB were released… same history… other characters…

Update:

My girlfriend said that she indeeds to color her once she gets some time off from school (which…as she said…is kicking her non existant balls). So as soon as she gets a moment to CGI it I will post it.

Ok, So she never got that original Jade drawing colored due to getting school work done among other things. But recently when we revamped the Rp and started from Square One to take place in 1995 she redesigned her.

This is what she came up with:


Edit: Maybe her or I will one day get either this or the original image colored…

I am most envious of her people drawing skills. Neat style, with a small pinch of manga thrown in.

Also, the earlier design reminds me a lot of a slight update of Kylie Griffin.
