like i said in the scripts post i think this whole thing is a bad idea, i've been reading old posts and this one covers most of the important ones ……heres my previous post :

if they got a new ghostbuster it would be lame as hell , think about it , they'd most likely get some lame teen actor , one with that backstreet boys look , you know what i'm talking about . and he/or she owuld ruin the as whole movie , theres 4 ghostbusters and thats all there should be .they'd probably have some new lame band redo the song again , thats just what i want to hear ghostbusters by p diddy ….hmmm how would that go …oh yeah ,“ we be cappin dem ghosts up in yo hizzie , what dat be it is you gotsta pick up da phone for foo , it be dem ghost b- to the izzusters up in dis shizzle dawg ” that would be awesome (sarcastic) …as much as i'd like to see a 3'rd move i know that times have changed , so have styles ,and the way they make movies in general . i know for a fact that if they made a gb3 it would be a trendy retro disgrace to the original 2 . for that reason i hope they don't make it .

i mean really , we all like these movies because they were good …..but they were good at the time . if you take when we know and love and modernize it the whole movie is going to suck , …..besides without bill murray it aint ghostbusters and all of you know that !!!!ps. don't get pissed at me , here in america i get my own oppion ….so there

You're right about that. But most of these people don't understand that. They just wanna see what THEY wanna see, and get so wrapped up in their own little hopes and imaginations, that they forget about one little detail: REALITY. It's not gonna happen, and I'm glad it's not. But you write this on the message boards, and all of a sudden everyone thinks you suck, you're miserable, how could you not want the movie to be made, etc. Then they bitch and cry to tbe webmaster, and of course, he wipes out this post just to keep the children happy. Oh well…I guess even the opinions in an opinionated message boards are controlled.

I want GB3 to happen, but I'm not gonna cry n moan just cause someone says they don't. I'ts of divided opinion, a new GB film but it will either be a HUGE scuccess or a complete failiure, now I knoe people who don't love Ghostbusters but still wan't to see GB3.

And it could happen, look at BB 2000 or Indiana Jones or Star Wars. Point is are you really against GB3? If so fine, if not and your just worried then have faith.

Just because you don't want it to happen don't rain on other people's parades. We can dream can we?

i'd love to see a ghostbusrers 3 in that respect , however the time frame for it to work with the other 2 and not be a trendy piece or crap past in the early 90's when a third installment was expected …..besides , most of you grew up watching ghostbusters as kids ,and we're not kids anymore ….just as all the actors in the movies arent as young as they were , do you really want to see a movie where all of our childhood heros are really old and handing the buisness over to a bunch of todays preppie teen actors ? i don't . you guys can have your oppinion too , i'm not going to get mad at you guys for yours , out of respect for that i don't want a bunch of angry replies

Hey, maybe the trainees will play a minor role and the only people who can save the day are the 4 more experienced originals, (Though including Louis would be a nice touch.)

I completely agree with you VENKMAN. As much as I would love to see
our four heroes on the big screen again, I would not like to see
our childhood heroes in their 50's training a bunch of young teen
actors who will most likely be referred to as The New Ghostbusters.
I would be very disappointed if I was thinking I'm going to see a great new
Ghostbusters movie like the ones before but instead see some crappy
modernization of a great classic movie. I don't want to got to the theater and see Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott saying
“Dude Where's the Ecto 1.”

Good point, I was hoping for a GB3 until I read this, and it is a possibility that WILL sadly happen. I would NOT like to see Stay Puft running amok in Dawsons Creek or god forbit Buffy The Ghostbuster.

It would be cool as hell if freddy and jason where the ghostbusters LOL

UM… Since when exactly was the Ghostbusters' story ever finished and deserved to be thrown in the freaking trash ! I highly doubt that if the orginal team got back together, even you, Murray, and sat down to make one heck of a good movie… Any of us would be dissapointed . They're still the best at what they do. Always have been and always will be.

Did any of you see Casper. The Ghostbusters are still in Business. Their story is far from stale and more than deserves a third movie. I don't give a crap if their old and crippled. As long as I see Egon, Ray, Peter, and Winston Busting some Ghosts, I'm the happyest man alive.
