Hello, I am a HUGE GB fan. I have turned my son into a big GB fan too! So now I am going to do a GB themed bday party for him. I would like some help/ideas/tips anything that you all can think of. I am a cake decorator so I will be doing his cake. It will be awesome! I will post pictures of it after I am finished next week so you all can see it. I will also be orgainizing an around town scavenger hunt. The boys will be camping out in our backyard.

So there are the details that are set. You guys have any thoughts for me??? Thank you so much in advance!

Take a look at this thread for a party we attended:

Since it is close to Halloween, you could find the ghost pinata pretty easy as well as put together ghost themed treat bags.

The reciepe for the slime is online. Look for the one with Borax as the main ingredient.

You could also try getting two guys to dress up as Ray and Winston, then half-heartedly sing the theme song, and feel embarrassed when the kids call for He-Man instead.

Hmm, I see you're holding my coat. Thank you…I'll find the door myself.

7-Up and Lime Sherbert is the perfect “slime” party drink.

Not to second-guess a professional, but I did have a cake idea. It seems to me that a round layer cake stacked tall enough should be the right size and shape for a Stay-Puft head. You'd need to find the sailor's hat, tho.

IF you have enough marshmallows, you could construct a life size Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

No?

Looks, like I'll join Nix in finding the door.

How about a dart game with a Vigo wall-hanging?

Just a thought

I figure doing a GB party at this point is likely far harder to do than it was–obviously–20 years ago.

A few years ago, a GB-themed birthday party would have included doing the same with a picture of Bill Murray, given some of the (undeserved) vitriol aimed at him during that time.

A Sam Hain-themed one might be more appropriate, since I consider him to be the RGB equivalent of Prime Evil.
