I disagree. When you watch any footage of the gameplay, the meter over the ghost and the meter on the pack are in sync. They display the same information - the ghost's “health.”

I actually noticed that too, when watching the footage from gamecinemaHD that that meter and the health meter over the crosshair were the same and when the slam gauge came up it did not change with the slam gauge on the screen when he finally wrangled slimer, but JonXCTrack, I wouldn't be surprised if you could disable the over crosshair health meter in favor of the pack health meter.

Whisk mentioned that you can turn the reticule off if you wanted to and play by literally aiming the wand.
I think the whole point was discussed that they “wanted all the information on the pack instead of hanging in the air.”
Maybe, they realized that the pack is sometimes not noticeable enough so they added some help on the screen for regular players to make it a little easier. At some angles the packs lights are not easy to see I have noticed especially when the player is really close to the screen.

I think when I get the game I'm going to take the aim off and play on the hardest setting they have just to get the most authentic ghostbusting experience possible.

I stand corrected. You guys are right that it appears the pie chart meter on the pack actually is the ghost's health. I watched the demo again and they are in sync. Maybe it was the old build I was playing or in the heat of the moment but I thought it was the slam meter.

You didn't give false info Whisk. Per-chance everything you said was true at some point but it changes to make things easier. It probably was an old demo back from the previous GDC it sounds like.
If there is a slam meter on the pack I would sure like to know what it is.
