But maybe these are true. I've heard several of the original casting choices before (John Belushi, Eddie Murphy, John Candy, Paul Reubens, Sandra Bernhard), but I was looking at IMDB recently and they had some others that I hadn't heard of. Considering the fame of some of these people (and my love for all things GB) I find it hard to believe them to be true:

Christopher Walken, John Lithgow, Christopher Lloyd and Jeff Goldblum were all considered for the role of Dr. Egon Spengler.

Michael Keaton turned down both the roles of Dr. Peter Venkman and Dr. Egon Spengler.

Chevy Chase turned down the role of Dr. Peter Venkman, he claimed that the script used in the movie wasn't the original script and in the original script was very dark and even more scarier.

Also on Steve Guttenberg's IMDB page it says that he turned down the Venkman role as well.

So does anyone know anymore about these or are you in agreement that these are pretty much BS. I enjoy most of the people on there (except Steve Guttenberg) and they may have worked, but I'm just not buying it.

Reading the end of this line, proves it's all fake.

Scarier isn't a word(it's a inflected usage.) and it makes NO sense in the way it's used to end that sentance. Anyone who trys to do that is either a moron, or kingpin.
