Seriously. in total, how much is the Ghostbusters franchise in general?

When Aykroyd announced that GB3 will not be made he stated that the Ghostbusters franchise has had revunes of over a billion dollars. I cannot imagine why Sony will not put up the money to make GB3!

Ectomans correct. I could not recall the exact number at the time. The number speaks alone why sony should step up to the plate and put some money up to get anything out of the franchise. I bet over 90% of that figure is from when Coke owned Columbia. They were not afraid fo invest. When Aykroyd spoke about GB3 he thought it could do over a billion dollars alone. I bet a new cartoon would also add to this number. Sony was not smart inthat they made a cartoon(EGB) befor GB3. They saw the cartoon did not do as good as they hoped so they gave up on GB.

That's a lot of money, and it's a shame Sony's wasting it to make stupid movies when they could be making new GB movies.

I think why EGB didn't do as well as Sony expected is because they put the thing on at 6yikes0 in the morning (at least they did over here on the east coast)! When I went to a Wal*Mart a few years ago and saw an EGB toy, I was like “What's Extreme Ghostbusters?!” Then, of course, I discovered EGB.
