It would be too close to “Trail of the Pink Panther”, where they interviewed Inspecter Clouseu's friends and enemies and used deleted scenes from the other movies as flashbacks. However, this could work for the first 5 minutes of the movie.

I might be only speaking from my experiences in high school, but most of my friends in school don't really know what Ghostbusters is.

I know, right?! Like, I'll wear my GB hoodie to school and everyone will be like “Oh, that's so awesome! Ner ner ner…” but they don't know what it's from!
