Crimson you took the words out of my mouth, Thats whats wrong with people today, they all want handouts from the goverment. The whole hardwork will pay off in the the longrun our parents taught us has been told to the deaf ears of this generation.

At no point in anyway shape or form did I bring the government into this, so “no” we aren't on the same mindset. I'm not out there to bully anyone, I said that so the kid'll pull himself up by the bootstraps and go and kick this misfortune in the balls.

Yes^

I was born with a horrible disibility, that i'm not going to get into b/c it's rare and very complicated to explain even for me and I've been living with it for 28 years, lol. I've faced horrible situations, been homeless, had crappy jobs, and amazing jobs only to lose them due to my disability. It takes close to 20k a month just for me to stay alive, I'm not kidding about that at all. The one thing I learned early on in my life, is that if you go around looking for pity, it just makes ppl upset.

Yeah, life can be rough, horrible for some ppl, but your situation isn't that bad. There's absolutly nothing from preventing you from improving your life but you! Sooo many ppl are willing to help, if you're willing to help yourself. Have you considered college? There's programs for scholarships, utility assistance, there's all kinds of stuff available to help you as long as you're actually trying to better your life. You could find some roommates to split costs with. I know it would suck b/c I have 2 dogs, but if it came down to it, I would give them up. Pets are a luxury, and sometimes you just can't afford to have them. Your bagger job, you don't like it, offer to come in on days off for free to study other positions for future openings, most places like the initiative. Try to stand out, go the extra mile, make your bosses notice you.

Your single, healthy, and as far as I know don't have any kids. There shouldn't be anything holding you back, get up, get out there and make your life better b/c no one but you is going to do it for you. I'd trade places with you anytime, anywhere, you've let out your story, I feel for ya it's tough, but you can get past it my friend.

He never said anything about wanting a handout from the government, he just wanted sympathy from everyone here. Completely different subject. But if that's the case, a message board is not really the place to ask for sympathy on the hardships of everyday life, because we've all got problems but we usually don't share them with random people on the net.

Actually, I got an appartment. But it's hard to find a better job. I've applied at Best Buy and they don't even call me for an interview. I would like to get a job as a fulltime janitor at the hospital but they are curently not hiring. And I don't want to go to college because it costs too much and I would have crap loads of homework so I would end up having no time to spend with anybody or do anything I like. Plus going to college isn't a neccesity to get by. I know people at my job who have college degrees but can't get a job in what their degree is because nobody is hiring. But they're getting by on their jobs as I am mine. By the way the 86 in my name is the year I was born.

Then go back to school and get a degree that is actually worth more than the paper it's printed on.

College isn't a neccesity. Just because you have a college degree doesn't mean you automatically get a good job. Like I said I know people at my work who have college degrees but can't find a better job.
And to Crimpson Ghostbuster, most of the jobs listed there are ones I can't do. And I did apply for a cashere job at Best buy and they wouldn't hire me. But actually I don't I'd want to work at best buy since their full time is only 32 hours a week.

Yeah, a college degree has actually been a issue at some places as they fear you will leave, and entry level jobs in my field are being taken by people with 5 years of working experience, cause they were laid off elsewhere. But I'm not giving up on either.

Thanks for posting the link. I found other sites quite useless for here in MO, but I found some cool leads from that site. thanks.

Your right, a college degree are far from necessary nor is it going to automatically land you a job. What it will do is not only show a possibly employer commitment on not only a personal level but a professional level it will also give you options you didn't have before in your job search.
