Idea for next video game

I wouldn't say that Lego is the exclusive domain of children, some adults have dome some really awesome things with the bricks… Lego sculptures, illuminated sets.

Don't tell me there isn't at least a bit of merit in what the franchise can produce when combined with Lego:

Lego has much more appeal then a normal videogame adaptation of the original trilogy, which likely would only be bought by the die-hard fans.

Plus, even though I am loath to vocalise this myself, I don't think it'll ever be likely to get the principal of the original trilogy back together to do vocal recordings. I imagine some could be brought back, but I bet that there would be the need for vocal sound-alikes, as I don't envisage there being as much of a reunion compared to Ghostbusters: The Video Game, where we lucked out that the only two characters not to return weren't important ones.

That, and the Lego games help to get new fans interested in the franchise.

There weren't any “Lego” shows for Star Wars or Batman, either… I don't see the relevance of your point. Despite that, they aren't a poor excuse for videogames, I found the Batman and Indiana Jones games extremely entertaining… in actual fact, the only ones I found poorer in quality were the Star Wars ones, and probably due to their being produced earlier, and Traveller's Tales not having hit their stride back when they were being made.

I say stop now please..

Goodluck trying to get them to stop.

I'm not a huge fan of the lego video games, but I don't think there's anything wrong with them. They're simpler games that harken back to the old days of gaming which isn't a bad thing, just not my cup of tea. Personally I'd prefer a sequel to Ghostbusters: The Videogame with the original cast again and a reason for the rookie to come back into play. Along with a little more variety in gameplay. Easier said then done though to be able to get the original cast back together again. If they did a lego Ghostbusters I think I'd play it. I think it lends itself a little bettter for a lego game then say Star Wars or Indiana Jones.

to me lego games are boring sorry(;_
I would love to see a game that has:
a story mode that has story line that takes place after the first game
a buiness mode where you start up and run your own gb franchise
a bigger multiplayer mode
and downloadable content

I'd love for a Lego GB game as well as a sequel to the game.

i would also like to see:
lots of new gadgets
a retro mode (plays campaigns from the the two movies)
and in the buisness mode you should be able to free roam (ala gta ) so you can cruise around in the ecto and bust ghosts at your leisure.

A full flight simulator can be built into the existing engine for the official debut of the Ecto-2.

Every single building and sewer in Manhattan will be built to allow for a true, free roaming experience.

The game can link up with weather.com to accurately recreate the weather conditions of New York City.

Utilizing the new generation of motion controls, players must actually ‘suit up’ into their virtual flight suits before being able to leave the firehouse on a mission.

The game's environment is always in perpetual motion as other ghostbuster teams can play in your world and take away your business. Players must choose if they want to sleep, go to work, socialize outside at the sake of watching their virtual ghostbuster business lose out to other, more deserving teams.

Beginner players must take on virtual jobs in order to fund their upstart ghosbuster business. Jobs include anything you can actually do for a job in Manhattan. The game's perpetual world works in real time, so players must adhere to their work hours.

Players must attend virtual college to attain the proper credentials needed to operate the nuclear accelerator strapped to their back. As an option, players can use the Kinect camera or Playstation Eye to scan in their diploma if they already have one.

Every copy of the game comes with a game developer that will promptly punch you in the face once the player realizes that ‘more reality’ in video games is always less fun to play.

HMM a little rash to prove a point

never said anything about making a game about catching ghosts realistic. the game would defiantly have way more more replay value the first one.

the game was setup like a game from the last decade with a few levels that had very small maps with very little to interact with, once you finished the game there really wasn't any reason to replay it.
dont get me wrong though i loved the game i just wish there was more. the ideas that i came up with would have allowed that
