Sadly not a lot at the moment, but here you go:

Ghostbusters: The Other Side - #1

Egon Spengler! Ray Stantz! Winston Zeddemore! Peter Venkman! The original Ghostbusters return in an all-new, four-part Ghostbusters story from IDW! Writer Keith Champagne (Green Lantern Corp, The Flash) is joined by artist Andy Smith in this new Ghostbusters saga. When the Ghostbusters capture a group of ghostly crooks, they unknowingly run afoul of a gang comprised of the spirits of some of America’s most legendary gangsters. Dead or alive, the mafia knows exactly how to deal with a problem like the Ghostbusters: rub ‘em out!

Ghostbusters: The Other Side - #2

Whacked! After inadvertently crossing a ghost mafia made up of the most notorious gangsters in history, three of the original Ghostbusters find themselves on the wrong end of a Tommy gun! Dead before their time and consigned to Purgatory, can the gang somehow find their way back to the land of the living?
Plus, what happened to Venkman?

Ghost gangsters? Wasn't one of the NOW comics about something similar?

It definitely occured multiple times in the cartoon.

The same cartoon the writer has derided in interviews…

The same cartoon where they were at least smart enough to never have the characters get killed and come right back to life.

I'm still definitely very intrigued by this story… especially since now not all of the Ghostbusters are dead. Love that 2nd story cover, with the GBs with bullet holes in them.

I love it that they do aproach the story in a darker way. Can't wait to read it. I hope that this series is the beginning for a long running ghostbusters comic series.

I already ordered a copy at the comic shop.

Best Regards,

Robert

*I just wonder how “canon” this is going to be, being that Dan Aykroyd - Co-Creator of this franchise - Specifically said that “No one dies in Ghostbusters…May get shaken up, may get bruised, but never die”…

*As said the RGB continuity has had the guys run the gamut of transformations, out-of-body experiences, and the like, but never outright death…

*My point is that this is either going to be a great developmental story arch, or a horrible piece of tripe IMHO…

*And is it just me - Or does Keith Champagne really have a dislike for the franchise [I mean the GB's DO die come the second issue]?…He just talks it up like he does “love” it, and then seems to diss it every chance he gets…Even if it comes off as vauge in interviews…

*Cheers.

I don't really care if the story is good or horrid, it's just awsome to have something Ghostbuster comic book related again since 88MPH screw around with it the last time. Which is kind of stupid considering it had a good story line with a great artist from the beginning. I must say though this artist is really talented aswell, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of his art. It's cool that we got a few covers so far, but I would like to see some sketches or interior art, or even a few group shots of the guys! lol But other then that im very pleased with this new comic book and what else it could hold for us fans!

I don't think he has a dislike for the franchise, its not like the Ghostbusters are going to remain dead, and look whose missing from that second cover, one Peter Venkman, which means that he must still be alive.

Btw, is the first comic out anywhere, I called Lonestar Comics and they don't have anything Ghostbusterish from IDW.

*So you wouldn't care if they portrayed them as drag-queens in tutus squirting ghosts with super-soakers and running away scared like little children, as long as it was called “Ghostbusters”, and the fact that it was something “new”?

*This type of apathetic greedy “logic” amongst some of the fanbase has always eluded me…No offense…

Does it really matter if its canon?

I'd be more concerned if the actual book itself is any good before trying to fit it into some sort of messy timeline.

They already got my attention by killing some of the guys. That alone makes this more interesting than the whole of Ghostbusters: The Return.
