12:22 Ryall then asked, “Why the hell did we call this Infestation anyway?” He spoke about his work on Zombies Vs. Robots with Ashley Woods and the continuing projects they have created. He announced the launch of a HUGE event involving Transformers, GI Joe, Star Trek, GHostbusters, and CVO (and potentially others) that will be in continuity and will have lasting effects within each series.

12:23 Waltz remarked, “The license holders have been very supportive. We've got a huge opportunity to re-vitalize several of our older projects that maybe some folks haven't seen because they came to our line of books later. It's going to be a really challenging and fun project.”

Anybody else hear anything about it? There's also a quick mention of the Halloween issue at the end, at 12:48.

Intriguing… a multi universe crossrip of epic proportions?

Wish there was more coverage of IDW's panel. Surely some Ghostheads went and spoke to people? Wasn't Jim Beard there?

It's already posted in the two articles, but here's the snazzy artwork so far released for the event:

Gotta say, I really like Hotz's depiction of the guys on that cover, I can definitely get into a miniseries drawn by him if that's the basis. some of you may recognise his work from Zombie: Simon Garth and its predessor.

And Ghostbusters vs Zombies? I can't wait. Say what you will about them being done (pardon the pun) to death, there's still plenty of angles to make the flesh eater comics of late unique.

oh god… MORE freakin' zombies?!?!? Hasn't this been used enough already in the world of comics!??! First they bring zombies into Marvel Comics, (besides their Horror-related characters) then the Star Wars universe, and now the Transformers, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, and GI JOE are going to be fighting ZOMBIES?!

“I hate zombies. They have lousy teeth.”

This will be the best IDW Ghostbusters comic ever if they sneak that line in.

Gb vs Zombies was kinda already done in the RGB episode “Dairy Farm” (I said kinda since it wasn't the traditional Romero-type ghouls they dealt with)
But it will be interesting to see what IDW can come up with for this concept. As long as they don't make it to gory.

It won't be too gory, no.
