What? I liked T3! :p I was just about to say, I think T3 did great. And a majority of the viewers thought so, too. And Cameron wasn't even involved! Bascially the only people involved from the first two movies were Arnold and the Psychologist guy who's been in all the previous ones.
That's what I'm sayin', without the originals involved it just wouldn't be right. I'll admit T3 wasn't BAD but I did think it was lacking in comparison too the first films. I much rather would've wanted the franchise left where it was. I won't even buy T3 on DVD and I am huge Terminator fan. But like I said, I would see it, for the same reason I saw T3 and Dumb and Dumberer (ugh). Just to see what they did with it.
The title for the movie was Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines. It means it mainly invloves the rise of the machines. No additional plot or story. Just tells you what happens when Judgement day came and it did. It wasn't a sequel giving any other additional stuff. The main reason is Arnold Schwarzenegger was in it. I liked the film too but I'm glad it wasn't someone else in the jacket and makeup. Stan Winston was back, he did the makeup effects for T2 and The Terminator. He also designed the robots. So not only Arnold and Edd (the physisian guy) were in it.
T3 was overall really great. If they did GB3 without Dan and Harold, I would still see it. Main reason for me is the movie and made. But the reason they didn't do GB3 was because of Bill Murray mainly. When they confronted him about GB2 he didn't really wanna do it, but Dan promised him Ghostbusters 2 will be the last. Now Dan and Harold wrote a script for GB3 and Dan promised Bill GB2 was the last. Well, Bill didn't want to do GB3. The original cast and crew (and I think probaly Ernie Hudson) wanted to do it too. But not without the original cast, mainly, Bill was the only one who didn't want to do the movie. Bill agreed to be in it abit but I think it was he asked for alot of money. Sony/Columbia didn't want to pay him so much money just to appear in a movie. So, they dumped the project. Everything was ready. Now, IF they do make GB3, without the original cast, I would still do it. I just hope they do, I don't care if Bill is replaced or they re-write his parts out of the script, I would still see it and even buy the DVD! Sure, the new comic is very exciting, I just hope the new comic will do something to change the cast/crews mind….
Also, if you didn't know about Back to the future movies, Crispin Glover, wasn't in the last 2 movies. Turns out he really didn't like the part of George Mcfly very much. When they filmed the movie, Chrispin only wanted them to use certain scenes. Universal ignored him and used all the scenes. Well, he got pretty mad after that and sewed Universal. They wrote the script for BTT2 (originally Back to the future 2 Paradox) with the 3rd movie in the second one. They decided to split them into 2 parts because it was to long. Well, they couldn't get Crispin back to film the next movie, to many close shot with him in it! This caused major script re-writting. So, they hired an actor to look like him, put some makeup, hair gel and there ya have it. Many of the shots were very far. They used alternate angle footage from the first movie to patch things up alittle. Also, the reason old George was turned upside down in BTTF2 was because they had some pretty close up shots and they thought he would be reonizable as the first actor. Which worked. I thinked he sewed them again after that. Crispin really though he wasn't being paid enough, he wanted more money then Micheal J. Fox, but they didn't want to pay. He also demaned more money for Part 2 and 3. Universal was kind of the studio that started the whole not using scenes without permission thing. A law suit was made thanks to Crispin Glover to never do this again. So, yeah he change isn't to bad. Even though you didn't notice much, there was change in 1 actor.
Anyway, I'm glad Arnold is Califronia's new Govaner BTW, Good Luck Arnold.
