If GB3 is made, what logo should they go with?

My vote is for the original, it's classic, but I'd be down with one that's new.

I say for the title and the previews they should use the Ghostbusters symbol with three fingers. But in the movie like you said use the classic ghostbusters symbol.

If Ghostbusters III is made only the original no ghost logo should be used. It should be used to promote the movie as well as in the movie itself. Why change it? It's classic! There is no reason to change it. You don't need a new sign just because it's a new movie. You don't need a ghost holding up three fingers to tell everyone that it's the third Ghostbusters movie. All you need to promote the movie is the original no ghost logo along with the classic ghostbusters lettering and the number three in roman numerals. Simple!

I would definitely want to see the original logo on the uniforms and everything. As for promotions… I could deal with a 3-fingered no-ghost symbol, but I'd rather not.

I'd like to see the original logo used for two reasons:

1) Whilst the GB 2 logo worked for outside-of-the-movie promotion, it didn't make all that much sense to use it in the movie.

2) The ‘three finger’ logo has been done to death because of constant use by the fans, and the fact it was derivative and uninspired to begin with.

I've seen the GB2 logo with a 3rd finger on it and it doesn't look bad at all. They have to make the 3rd finger bigger to make it the GB3 logo when the movie gets made. 2010 is the release date for GB3. The GB3 logo will look awesome for the GB3 movie because that's all i've seen for the GB3 logo the GB2 logo with a third finger on it and it doesn't look that bad at all it looks very cool but to make it look like the GB3 logo they have to make the third finger bigger to make it look like a three.

I'm not sure why the third finger needs to be bigger to make it look like a 3… 3 fingers still suggests 3.

And seriously man, you're treading a thin line. 2010 is not the release date. No release date has been announced and the movie has not been green-lit yet. And as for “The GB3 logo will look awesome for the GB3 movie because that's all i've seen for the GB3 logo the GB2 logo with a third finger on it…” Just because a bunch of fans have made their own designs based off of GB2's logo does not mean it will 100% absolutely be the logo for the 3rd movie.
