If GB3 is made, what logo should they go with?

i'd rather them drop the finger thing for the logo and just simple have the no ghost logo like the did for the first film and give the movie a title like if the third movie was called “Hellbent” then just have that underneath the logo like they kinda did for the video game that would be nice and simple.

I think they should go with the original logo which has been used with the present Ghostbusters movies.

Present Ghostbusters movies?

I'm confused by your statement. First of all, I wouldn't call “Ghostbusters” and “Ghostbusters II” present… but if you were going for existing, the statement still doesn't make too much sense, given the fact that the logo was different in each movie.

On topic, if I haven't yet expressed my opinion, I'm definitely for the original logo returning, NO 3-finger logo.

Consider this:

GB2 is the only official incarnation of the property to ever used a logo other than the classic GB1 logo. RGB used the GB1 logo even after GB2. EGB used it. The Other Side, Ghost Busted, and the video game, all set after GB2, the latter featuring Aykroyd's involvement, use the original logo.

With all of that in mind, I'd be surprised that GB3 would use anything else.

Agree, they should go with the original. The one with three fingers…cliche.

Here's my suggestion for a badge. I think it can also do a good poster if it's on a black background or has the city as a background. As a badge, the title “ghostbusters” can be replaced by a name or code like “GBHQ-1-Venk” which gives the hq's area with the member's name.

I think Ghostbuster should be recognized as a city service now. The badge is metallic with a few mm thick.

I dunno… the point of the GBs has always sorta been to compare them to ghost garbage men. Garbage men don't have metal badges. I think the metal badges are too much… they add something that I can't put my finger on, but I don't like it. Like… they're just regular guys with a clean-up job. I don't feel like they're authority figures or anything.

I think there was too many charlatans in the past and still too many today. But these guys are for real and you need to show this quality.

Also, the Ghostbusters received many negative publicity and doubt back then; I think the city would want to make it clear that these guys are to be taken seriously… considering the fact that some people today still believe that Earth is flat, that we never walked on the moon, and that no planes crashed on september 11. I'm sure the statue of liberty changed the general opinion in gb2, but those with doubts can still influence the public; it's a ghostbuster company after all. This badge would be a good move from the city to authentify the ghostbuster's professionalism.

As a company dealing with dangerous unknown phenomenons, and recognized by the city, you need to be able to close instantly the zone you want to the public when needed. For that you need to have some authority and this badge represents also the city behind you.

Ghostbusters is a “cleaning service” but it's far from dealing with “trash”. People who deal with paranormal activity cannot be considered as “regular men” with an ordinary “cleaning job”. They can be almost considered a mix of police department and firefighter; they extinguish the “fire” in one place, capture its factor and imprison it after; it's a dangerous job, a level under or above the police/fire department, which gives to the metalic badge all its meaning.

If it's not enough then I'll say that Peter Venkman would demand recognition for the company's professionalism and support over the years, asking to be officialy a part of the city's security services. If he's not receiving it, I guess he would order those shiny badges to not only congratulate the efforts of its team, but to heal the wound made by the fact that saving life doesn't make you a superstar or someone more respected. This badge would represent all the hard work made.

Care to clarify that? How exactly have there been charlatans in the past and too many today?

Hi everyone! Here's an attempt I did a little while ago. Didn't have much time but thought i'd share with the fans!

Would be great if they had a new logo to go with the existing iconic first two.
