If or When GB3 comes out, who would you put on the soundtrack?

I think that they should use old songs, regardless that times have changed.

If you recall from the 1978 film Halloween, blue oyster cult's “don't fear the reaper” was very effective.

b.o.c. had a tendancy to be a band based on science fiction thoughts and ghosts.

Seeing as how Ivan Reitman, lets just say he directs it, uses mostly “gen” music, like in Evolution, he used music like Powerman 5000 to illustrate important events, he used “When worlds collide” when everyone was evacing. He will use certain songs he sees reflect the theme. Not just “Pop” music. Toxicity would be good because hey the City has plunged into hell(lets just say thats the theme) Incubus could use “drive” during some dramatic moment or something involving the car and oh lets say Dana leaving Pete, or something like that. Thats all I have to say, he uses theme music. :s

OK I come up with a few songs I would like to hear if they go with the whole Hellbent idea.

New Version(if not remake) of GB them by Ray Parker Jr.

ACDC- Highway to Hell or Hells Bells(i would pick both)

Actually, Scoleri_guy, PM5K's “Bombshell” (currently the entrance theme of WWE's The Dudley Boyz, FYI) was used in Evolution], not “When Worlds Collide.”

And for the people suggesting “Enter Sandman”…NO. That song is DEAD. I love Metallica a whole lot, and I consider them to be the greatest band ever on this planet, but that song irritates me now to no end. It seems to be the only song anybody really knows by Metallica aside from “I Disappear” if they're not a big fan these days, and it's one of their worst songs (pre-ReLoad, of course).

As for bands I'd dig…hmmm…
Cradle Of Filth
Tatu
Six Feet Under (pull an Ace Ventura and have SFU playing in some club that the guys get an assignment at)*
Shadows Fall
Metallica
Fear Factory
Thin Lizzy - “The Boys Are Back In Town”
Outkast
Gang Starr
Sum41
Slayer
System Of A Down
Disturbed (wouldn't mind THEM doing the GB theme)
And since we'll need a pop-princess…and as much as I hate her filthy guts…Avril LaVigne

* = In Ace Ventura, Cannibal Corpse plays their song “Hammer Smashed Face” while Ace is at the club looking for his friend (the line “New England Clam Chowder” is used around this scene). Funny thing? Six Feet Under frontman Chris Barnes is the ex-frontman of Cannibal Corpse.

Last time I checked, pop died. Last time I checked Avril Lavigne was a girl rocker, so dont mess with her, please. But you did have a good list of songs there, I though about disturbed's down with the sickness, but it might be a little ruff for a PG movie.

FOREIGNER (“Urgent”)
NO DOUBT (“Tragic Kingdom”)
THE FIRM (“Radioactive”)
ROBERT PLANT (“Darkness Darkness”)
THE CARS (“Magic”)
THE BEATLES (“Sexy Sadie”)
JOURNEY (“Lights”)
THE WHO (“Eminence Front”)
QUEEN ("Machines")

The songs in parentheses are the ones the artisits would be performing on the soundtrack.

agreed it would be a very goob idea indeed
the songs would have to be a variety and reflect the times like the other films did, no matter what.
