I like what you guys have going here. I would like to add my two cents in
NIN - “Dead Souls”
Rob Zombie - “Never Gonna Stop”
Limp Bizquit - “Roll'n” (This could be played as a new ecto mobile comes thunder'n out of the firehouse!)
~or~
Have them make up a new song for the track
Metallica - (If anyone remembers their song “Enter the Sandman”, listen to the song's intro as it starts out with a low solo guitar riff and then soon revs up to an intense rip of hard rock.) Can you imagine what Metallica could produce if they did a remake of Ray Parker Jr's “Ghostbusters”? That would be the shiznit
Tina Turner/Pattie Labelle/or Whitney Houston - Either one of these women should do a love theme for the movie. The emotion and depth that they have put into their songs are outstanding.
Alien Ant Farm - They can do a parody for the movie.
Outkast -
George Clinton -
Danny Elfman - Need I say more?
Danny will do the movie justice.
But, I have to agree with some of the people who spoke up about the pop stars. Anything that relates to britney spears, christina arguila, that “living-la-vida-loca-guy”, mariah carey, pink, maya, etc does not need to be on the track. Why? Because Ghostbusters is a legend, an icon…it has already been dragged through the media's criticism when they slammed GB2 back in 1989 and when EGB didn't help to boost the Ghostbusters franchise a couple of years ago. So, really…why risk doing more harm than good by adding pop-stars just for the sake of it. You know what I mean?
