The reason I refered to you as a Fan-Boy was cause when I asked you to to name some actors you just replied will the original cast.

Thats fine I'll use that thread instead if I ever wana make suggestions again.But again…….you should not have re-named this topic“Which actors/actresses would you like in GB3?” PART2 if you didn't want people using this thread……..

if a new user registered tomarrow and saw this “Part 2”(and seeing it has 5 pages now) they would think to use this one to make thier actor suggestions.

I know you weren't referring to me… but it's harsh for one fan to call another a ‘fan boy’ (in the derogatory sense) when we're all frankly raving fanboys. It doesn't affect who you are or you status if you're willing to see change or stick to your guns for the old material.

Of course, the perfect combination is someone in the middle, loves the old and would defend it, but is willing to entertain some new concepts/ideas… but sadly life isn't perfect. :p

Again,since it seems no one understood my last post about the “Flavor of the Month”….I know what it means,its when people are picked just cause thier popular at the moment,despite whether or not they can actually do the roll justice.

Thats why I said I don't pick my choices like that….Kevin James is hardly the “Flavor of the Month”…….his last big roll was in “Hitch” with Will Smith,as far as I remember.Plus he's more know for being on the “King if Queens” which I'm not sure if that series has eneded,I read somewhere there was to be one more season.

And I don't believe anyone said he, as a choice was ‘flavor of the month’. As things go I could possible see him as Ray if a remake had to be done.

Martin Lawrence is not the “Flavor of the Month” either,his last big roll was in “Wild Hogs”.Sure he has done other movies in the recent past….but he's definitly not in the “Flavor of the Month” catagory like Will Ferrell and the rest.

Maybe, but he's got awfully typecast and it's not really the appropriate type of humor… it's way too slapstick if you ask me, at least in the films I mentioned. We need to see more of him like he was in Bad Boys if he played that role pretty straight.

Now i know I picked Ben Stiller,I know Kingpin said he could never replace Bill Murray,which is true….but I never said he should.

I didn't mean to imply you did say he'd replace him, I was mostly making an off-hand comment at someone who I've had a few heated debates with over ‘GB3’, and he seemed a bit too willing to entertain Ben replacing Bill.

I'll admit Ben IS in the “Flavor/Month” catagory……but thats NOT why I picked him….I just thought that he might make a decent GB in general.

I think the thing is that it's the ‘obvious’ actors that are gonna get shot down… I say, aim for someone a bit more obscure. More then one person has suggested Ryan Reynolds (despite his more questionable comedic work of late)… I'm sure there are actors out there people are willing to entertain for a theoretical remake. Hell, ask me what I think of Wil Ferrel after I've watched Stranger Than Fiction. and I may have changed my stance a little.

But at the end of the day, there isn't gonna be a remake so no need for everyone to get bent out of shape to the point of hating each other. :p

I got ya Kingpin …….and yeah I guess Martin Lawrence is bit too slapstick for GB…..thats why I didn't pick Will Ferrell….I think Will is a great comedian but just not in the Ghostbuster sense.

Ben Stiller?…ehh…I would be willing to give him a chance,like I said….but its still a hit-or-miss.

I guess the only person from my list Id keep is Kevin James…re-make or GB3….Id prefer GB3.
