I sometimes get DVDs with defective Menus. Umm.. I'd try another copy (rent it) and see if it works, if it does, then get ahold of Columbia about exchanging your DVD.

get a hold of colubia and have a exchange?!? yeah, if you want to handle it in a calm rational way! if somebody sells me a bum GB product i would just tear a strip out of them. ive got it on for Ghostbusters. call the store dude, tell them the situation after you rented another copy and demand a immediate exchange.
im gone.

I wouldn't worry about demanding anything. Most stores will happily replace defective DVDs, with no hassle.

What model Apex do you have? The Apex makes cool players, but they can be flaky by times. I own a 600A and it can't handle branch streaming, so discs like Terminator 2 have problems with playback. I haven't had any trouble with accessing menus on the Ghostbusters DVD though.

You're not the only one. The first GB1 disc I bought had defective menus as well. I exchanged mine though and the one I own now is great. Good luck. smile

i have an Apex dvd player and the GB dvd and it seems to work fine so it must be the dvd, do you have problems with subtitles on other dvds with the Apex?

Ok, I hope some one knows how to answer this. My DVD works fine on my PS2 dvd player, but when I try to use the MST3K subtitles on my PC DVD player I get an error message:

“In order to properly view the video comentary you must set your DVD player to 4 x 3 display mode. Consult your DVD player manual for specific instructions.”

Well, since I have the Win DVD player that came with my PC, I don't know how to change the settings.

What should I do???
