That Preview is dated Aug 4th , and he did the entire demo + new parts of the game with Ryan French Himself.

It's completely possiible for the game to come out on the target date. It just depends on how willing publishers are to capitalize on the franchise.

That said, until someone big reports on it or a press release is made - I wouldn't make any bets as to the release date.

The first article is most likely a late mailing.

The second, there really is no timestamp as to when this occured nor where. I highly doubt Mr. French showed up at some writers door and gave him a walkthrough. Chances are this was an article in writing for a few days. Even then, it uses the word “probably” which does not mean for sure. Plus there is no direct quote from French, for all we know he could have told the guy - “We hope to have it out by Halloween” and the reporter made a conclusion.

Not shooting you down or anything, but like I said it's best to wait for a press release before we begin counting our terror dogs before they hatch.

I wonder if Tom got to walk through the demo before all this release chaos, but didn't post the preview on the gamesradar site until just yesterday? I'd like to think that's not the case, and that Ryan was suggesting that it's still coming out in Oct.! Why can't someone just make a friggin' announcement to further acknowledge what's going on? :@

I dunno…all I DO know is, Mr. QZEDDEMOORE, you are a lucky man to have been able to play the demo firsthand….lucky lucky man!

Hell yes I'm confused, and I wish that Terminal Reality (though I don't blame them for any of this mess), Sony or Activision/Sierra would just come right out and say if they're delaying the game or not instead of all these little articles popping up over the place.

It's like as soon as one story comes out pushing the game back , another demo goes out and they stick with the OCT date . starting to piss me off
because I can't metaly prepare until I know. Especially since I got to play it and loved it I can't help but fiend for it!

Apparently this was said today by Mark Randal of tri. Don't quite know what to make of the “thats all i can say at the moment”

Could mean either they've got something sorted now (or something lined up @ least) but are sworn to secrecy so's to speak. Or they haven't got anything sorted but don't want to worry the fans.
