Iron Man is a god awful game, that's why.

Will unfortunately have to agree with you on that. Movie was great, the game looked great and had a lot of potential…but in the end…it stunk

Doesn't excuse the fact it was third person and didn't have a quick turnaround.

YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

Do none of you remember the movies?

Think back, to the first test of the Proton Packs in the Sedgewick Hotel.

After arriving on the elevator the boys roam around a little, then the cleaning lady comes around the corner.

ALL THREE of the boys make a pefect 180degree turn and open fire.

“What the hell are you doing?”

and you call yourselves Ghostbusters fans. OF COURSE THEY SHOULD HAVE 180DEGREE TURNS!

Not all “third person shooters” are created equal.

You're over looking the fact that “sandbox” games, such as Iron Man and GTA 4, allow you to manipulate the camera's angle, while more linear games, like Gears of War and Resident Evil 5, have a fixed over-the-shoulder view.

When you can change the camera angle, there is less of a need for a quick turn feature because you can more readily see what is behind you.

It's not relevant if they should have the turn or not in the game, but only if it fits in the game play. We know they can do it in the movie, but game play stand wise it is not really needed. I mean there is no real reason to have it. It's not like RE5 where you can get surrounded by hordes of ghost who can kill you with just a few hits. The other difference is, chances are you have the other guys getting your back; chances are between 1 extra hand up to 4.

It just seems like the right stick movement is fast enough that you don't need a 180 turn like that.

Plus these guys are professionals and they don;t make mistakes like that anymore. I think it is safe to say that they prefer to get each other's back rather then rely on themselves. They want to keep safety as a to priority so they won;t do this 180 turn because it is problemmatic in that just firing rapidly will cause lots of unnecessary destruction as well as possibly someone getting hurt.

Again….I have played the demo. It is very easy to get surrounded, even with another AI Ghostbuster there to get your back.

What I meant was the game looked Shiny…like an average “next-gen” game.

Once I get home from work I will pull out my foolishly bought copy and I will go down the list…

I just finished reading the whole thread and just wanted to add my little contribution.

The lack of a 180 degree turn is a bit problematic from a development standpoint. Games are to a point now where there are certain rules you should adhere to when making “X-Genre” game. Even though I agree that the lack of a 180 degree turn does make the game sound more interesting and closer to the spirit of the film (the devs were probably picturing the ‘ballroom’ scene when this choice was made) unless the rest of the controls are tight enough, it will undoubtedly be a bit frustrating.

The rest of the complaints on IGN's review seem a bit nitpicky.

I would like to say though, I'd personally rather wander around looking for ghosts for a bit than have a sentient magic line to follow everywhere ala Dead Space (even though I used it every 3 seconds, lol).

They might of been able to stick in a map, like the way at the end of the first film when the Ghostbusters were in jail they had bluprints to Dana Barratts appartment. I can see the player pressing a map button and Ray pulling out some blueprints to the current location.

I can live without a map, but this would be a KILLER way to impliment it. Kudos!
