That said, some of the old methods are tried and trusted.

“The flowers are still standing… but who will like to sit at that table again?”

Realy, I think some players will be a bit disapointed to see StayPuft Neglected in a concept that is exploited over and over by the game industry to complet their products more easily.

you do know he's not even the final big enemy, right? Something like that might work if it were an end of game badguy

That's even better! It's hell on Earth! The worst nightmare of New York covers the buildings once again and, if there's one thing you know, it's not finish, it was only the big guy…. It's not finish and the player is glued to his seat. Why? Because the scene was = to what StayPuft represents.

It's the recipe for a blockbuster.

I'm starting to wonder if this game isn't a bad thing (yes I'm a heretic), but I can see no body being happy with it…

Yeah, but that's the problem… this is still a game, not a blockbuster movie. You can't make it impossibly difficult or people would throw away their controllers in disgust at the odds being stacked up against them like the Hover Dam.

I realise you have a lot of wishes for the gameplay, but it has to be designed in a way that makes it both fun and testing of the player's skill, not to mention designed to a point so that a lot of people who may not be completely avid gamers can play the game without getting frustrated… and then of course, there's the simple limitation of the control system…

When October 2008 rolls around and the game comes out, people will be singing a different tune.

i don't care if the game was just one level where i go around busting slimer. it's the first ghostbusters game in years. why must there be so many complaints? wait till we get a demo or at least a bit farther in development before we start passing judgement. the more we say negative things, the less likely we are to get a franchise out of this, and i don't know about you guys, but i don't want this to be the last ghostbusters game to come out on this system life cycle.

LOL, I *AM* HAPPY!

The game is promising!

I wish PS2 was goin to be like 360, but I believe they will do something amusing. PS2 made so many games based on simple “free violence” that it will do a nice change. AT LAST.

And it's no wonder why the PS2 version is not like 360; it's an “old” console, capable of what the game offers, but the industry wants to sell their new system. It's a way to attract customers. Like “RumbleRoses2”, they could have made it for PS2, but PS2 had so much success compared to Xbox, in a global point of view, that it was an “order” to sell that sucessful title for the other console. It was a way to attract the customers.

When you like something (ghostbusters here), you want the best for that product. It's normal to criticize what you don't like. It's to push the potential. And the game is not finish yet.

To my opinion, after Xbox and PS2, a new system, that is supposed to be better, deserves something innovative and spectacular. Specialy if it have a blockbuster title. Let's not forget that the first games on a new system are supposed to reflect innovation; if it's like the old systems, there's no reasons to buy for the first generation of players.

If I was the creator, a concept like ghostbusters, specialy after all those years of inactivity, after a blockbuster, a “good” sequel, and a sucessful cartoon, with all what the technology can offer today, I would ask for the cream. And I wouldn't allow anyone to do pudding!

This loses something in the translation.

Please tell me you're kidding. I'm freaking estatic, I've got my Wii version on reserve already, and once I determine which other version I'm getting, I'll reserve it as well.

What, you don't want to see a game fun like a movie?! There's many way to do that StayPuft scene. You can even cut it in parts. And it will still look great!

And who said it was goin to be that difficult? “Shadow of Collosus” made a little human being fight what could have sounded impossible on paper! And it's not like if StayPuft is SpeedyGonzales. :p

Of course, you knew that I knew

Ok MuthaPussBucket, for now on, I name you my personnal teacher. Your duty is to make all the correction and to post it after each of my messages. I always asked for that in the past :p

Iain was being melodramatic to highlight his annoyance at the level of complaints he'd seen.

I think, Iain, was I on the right vein?

Correct.
