I'm a little disapointed with the Mod application procedure.

I would have liked the chance to apply for modship, but last night, when GBN went down, it was late hear in Britain, and I had to come offline before the mod post went up!

I believe I could have made a valid case for this, and now that the post has been locked and all candidates considered and chosen, I feel dissapointed that I never got to sell myself here. I am sure a lot of other people feel the same, Kingpin, a fellow Brit, will most likely share this philosophy.

I don't know what this post will acomplish, but I needed to have my little say here. I think it would have been wiser to keep the mod applicationj going for a week before desicion was made.

Anyone agree?

Eric has a few people still chosen for Mods whom he hasn't gotten to or they haven't signed up yet. But I'm sorry to hear you missed out on the drawing.

I'm still confused as to why there are no female mods, Twister and Milenka asked in time…I was abit late…so i missed the boat…but wtf???

I asked Chad once why there weren't any on GBN….he said no reason..so i figure this time around some chicky's might get in the hot seat….

and yes i agree that it was a fast process…some people still don't know that GBN is gone and that we have this new board…oh well

Congrats to those who got it though, I'm sure they'll do good jobs

If you read the end of the thread, (I'm guessing before it was locked) it was said that we had enough mods. Nothing personal against those who weren't chosen. Think about it, how many people are needed to mod a board that doesn't have the userbase yet that the last board did? I'm sure if you want to apply or weren't chosen, you'll be considered.

As far as all the mods being men, I really don't believe it was done intentionally or to be sexist. Don't know if it would help, but if you're female and want to be a mod, why not email the admins of this board? Couldn't hurt.

My only problem was that I dont even know who Dr. Riddle is, and Saber Holder just joined three weeks ago and nothing against him, but it seems rather random that hes a mod.

Yea Dr. Riddle is Doc Ryedale.

I was also upset at the mod choosing. As I had been away for 2 days and didnt know what in the world was going on. But there will always be more chances for mod signups so don't fret. I feel confident that Icer and Sg1 chose wisely.

Well, I'm not saying they did'nt choose some of the best, because they did choose SOME of the best. But the mere amount of them is stupid! There's almost more mods than there are messages!
