I'm a little disapointed with the Mod application procedure.

I just think experience should have been more of a factor.

I have to agree. One of the best ideas Chad had was the idea of putting the new Mods up for a vote–I certainly would've voted for Sinister in an eyeblink.

Instead, we get this “Who wants to be a Mod?” post. I feel certain that many qualified people were probably passed over, people who maybe just had to sleep last night and work this morning (they're out there)

My only problem was that I dont even know who Dr. Riddle is, and Saber Holder just joined three weeks ago and nothing against him, but it seems rather random that hes a mod.

Actually, more like 3 months ago

Once again, even if thats the case, I still think 3 months doesnt compare to my nearly 2 years.

You couldn't PAY me to be a mod.

Yup, Dr. Riddle = Doc Ryedale. I have to agree with Mr. Pink, we have WAY too many Mods for this point in time. They should start small, and add more later on, when the need is there. And by that point the board operators will have had more time to see what the regular users are like and if they're mod-worthy.

That's enough both of you, I'm not totally sure about some things, but seniority was supposed to be left behind in my mind, that your reputation is based on what you do, not how long you were a member of GBN.

Ben I think what they were trying to say is, That experience(this being time on the boards) does make quite a difference. As you know the swing of things, where everything is, and really what's acceptable and what's not. Senority should definatly have been a factor. Although it does feed peoples egos and you get these guys who whine and complain because they were here longer(no offense to anyone). The whining and complaining is not neccesary but I do agree that Time spent on the boards ie, time you been a member should be a contributing factor. But the thing is guys, its a new board, new admins and a new time for the Ghosthead community. Everyone started out fresh just like at the Old GBN. So the mods were chosen as if this were the first time.
