Impeachment...

Impeach M. Bison? Lots of things have come up that some would call worthy of this.

Thank you to a few certain members who made these links possible. Also, I would like to add in my small bit: I have heard that he has done great things for the community. His greatness includes knowing a lot about message board communities, and making “cool” signature pictures for people. If I can recall, Johnny Sparks would be the same, now wouldn't he? I have a friend who could make the same style signature pics using a few filter's on photoshop, paintshop pro and some other program and make one looking exactly the same lickety split. Also, he has (although, I am not able to prove it at the time) posted in the wrong forum and a few occasions. Call me jealous, because he is a mod and I am not, when I have been trying to get a mod job for about two years and he has been here a few weeks, or don't. Just, don't go choosing people for things until you look around and 1. see what else there is to offer - and 2. any quirks or problems.

Edit:

Obviously this topic is no longer about sigs and avatars…. Okay, seeing as how im a moderator, I am going to go find a miscellanious mod and have them hopefully lock this to prevent it from becoming worse. Honestly, you M. Bison are a moderator, your attitude has been well, less then Moderative. Ron, Hambino, everyone, hopefully we can end this without a full scale fight on our hands.

hoestly what i have been thinking since i met the guy. me and him had a very short conversation on yahoo once which showed me what kind of person he is. honestly he speaks of others being rude but i would consider him a tad rude this is not the exact convo but its pretty close

M.bison: whats up
Me: Not much just sitting around drinking a little bit before some girls come over.
M.Bison: what makes you think i needed to know that.

He does post in the wrong forum all the time and i just plain out dont like the guy. so i vote yes.
No hatred, just jokes

well, honestly i never had anything against the guy, never once crossed paths. I hold no grudges with anyone, im just saying, no more fighting. If you're gonna be a mod, you need to act like one and get over what other people say about you. Just let it go, dont fight back, it only gets worse if you do. Also, I was at the NS link written by Ron, and from that IM, I have to say, as an artist myself, you never “claim” rights to a project. Art is about freedom, and that conversation made me chuckle, I dont think ive ever said i was the best and I dont ever claim to be cause there is someone better, always.

After reviewing the evidence I'd have to agree with it 100%. M. Bison you tried to pull a fast one on all of here in the community. Granted you may have modded the ST.com chat, and boards but as it stands you really should know some back story about the community your jumping into before portraying a mod-like facade to everyone to think that you have mod ability. Unfortunately, we saw right through your face. So it would be a good idea to just step down, and save some embarassment. Trust me this is the best way to go, since people who lie to our faces our roasted royally, and we usually don't forget. So I second the impeachment.

Geez…somebody get the pitchforks and torches…

I'll admit, I was more than a little offended when he called me a “comics newbie”. I've been reading and collecting comics for 15 years, and I pride myself on the amount of comics knowledge I have. Which I think I've demonstrated on more than one occasion around here.

However…no matter how rude I may feel he was, it is no excuse for a public lynching. If you have a problem with one of the moderators, then the proper recourse is to collect your evidence and present it to the other moderators and Chad. There is a reason that there is more than one mod for each group. They are there to keep order. If you feel that one of them is failing in that job, then it's the other moderators that need to know. All that calling him out in public will do is cause bad feelings…haven't we had enough of that around here?

*Ahem* I asked Chad about impeaching a Mod…He said the Community elected them, then the Community should vote them out. Or the Mods should. He hasn't quite decided yet. But this is a step in the right direction either way….

In all fairness to everyone involved and as I stated to Jesusfreak, I really don't know the true correct way to handle this. However since this forum is based on true democracy, this seems like the way to go.

However, I expect everyone to act decent to each other. Bring up the facts and just the facts. This is not a thread to take advantage of and start flaming in. The only way this can be carried out in a constructive manner is to show everyone involved respect.

Yes, Chad……I believe this is the most democratic way…And I think this post has stayed away from bashing.

I truly believe the evidence Vego provided, as well as other testimonals really warrant this poll.

My personal suggestion would be to bring it up to the mods, and if the mods feel that it is justified, THEN open it to a CLOSED vote. (no comments, so no hard feelings) If the vote carries, then that person is removed as a mod.

But that's just what I would do…

Well put, Chad. Very well put.

I am proud for all of us… the democracy thing is really working out, if in a rather seat-of-the-pants manner. The most important thing, in my opinion, is that we establish a firm yet adaptible precedent from this procedure and others like it that may crop up. And, for the time being, we should decide what exactly constitutes quorum in this. Personally, I believe that a set number of votes should be required for impeachment, rather than a percentage of members, as a relatively low proportionality of registered members ever actually post or answer polls, and out of those that do we cannot expect all of them to notice this thread and voice their opinion.

Perhaps, in the interest of fairness, we could run a recall election of sorts… put the member(s) in question up against other hopefuls (with priority for a slot going to those who ran in the first round of elections) and let the decision rest on the results of that vote. Either way, I commend the democratic spirit of this thread, and of everyone on the site that is willing to support its undertaking, no matter for whom they may be rooting. A government by the people, for the people, is and always has been the only way to do things right.
