Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

That trailer is great and humorous. Loved that part that GhstbstrLMLIII mentioned.

Also, if you listen, Shila's character asks “I thought you were a teacher.” To which Indy replies “Only part time.”

So maybe he's not his son?

I wouldn't say it rules out a father/son relation. If Shia is Indy's son (and no, I'm not going to look at the spoiler) he may have thought/been told his father was just a boring teacher.

True. You have a point there.

Btw, the “spoiler” is just pictures of them riding on a motorcycle and being filmed. Thats all it is. It's hardly “spoiler” worthy.

I was privileged to see it at a staff preview screening early yesterday morning.

The film won't ever be able to stand up against Raiders or Last Crusade, those two are arguably the best films of the Indiana Jones (now) Quadrilogy.

At the same time, I felt it was better than Temple of Doom.

There were some unusual bits, but I enjoyed it… I'm happy to have finally seen a Indiana Jones film at the cinema. it embodied the spirit of the films that had come before. The chemistry between Karen Allen and Harrison Ford was great, the references they snuck in were all nice touches, the absence of Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr and Denholm Elliott as Marcus Brody were handled with respect and class. Shia worked well in the role of “Mutt” Williams and Harrison seemed to slip into the role almost effortlessly.

Out of five stars, I think I'd give it three and a half.

And I now have the sudden urge to go as Indiana to a fancy dress party.

I saw it yesterday. I really really enjoyed this movie. It's definately a worthy addition to the series. It stays faithful to the original trilogy in feel while taking a giant step forward in terms of special effects and action. The story is solid, the acting is good and it's well directed. I'd rate it 8 out of 10.

I saw Indy IV last night with my girlfriend and a couple friends. The friend I went with grew up as rabid a fan of Indy as I was of Ghostbusters.

We thought the movie went from bad to worse to absolutely terrible at the climax. Harrison Ford was obviously not into it. Karen Allen had nothing to do. Indy walked around as stuff happened to him. I don't want to give any spoilers away but what happened in the climax kind of violated the integrity of the other movies… at least that's what we thought.

Definitely the absolute worst of the Indy movies. George Lucas has lost his mind. Harrison Ford was either bored or needed the money. One out of five stars.

i saw it opening night with my girlfriend, and i will say its better than TOD, but deffinately doesnt top Raiders or Crusade (Crusade being my fave) its what youd expect from a Indy sequel. and people bashing it, are probably forgetting to look around and see what else has been released in the past few years. compared to all the other trash , rehashes, and remakes hollywoods been shitting out, Indy 4 is a complete stand out, and deffinately not a ‘cash in’ since its been in development for nearly 10 years.

i give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. it maybe not be a classic, but its a damn good entry in the series that doesnt seem to rehash anything and maintains to feel fresh, and its also a breath of fresh air from everything else thats been comin out lately.

my only gripe, is the cinematography, some of the shots were very awkward.
