What do you think its like in there? In the game the kind of got me exacted about looking in there with the ‘viewer’ and all. So we can all dream I think its a world similar to the ghost world we go into in the library in the game.

i agree with that! its always been a type of dreamy/goulish place like the libray when you go into the first portal…

i believe in one of the RGB episodes, the crew has to get inside of the containment unit

When watching the Blu-Ray I heard them say that in the original film there was going to be a scene where we were going to see inside the containment unit, but then thought with all the sad ghosts inside they did not want people to have sypothy for them.

They also scrapped it due to how complex the visual effects would have to be.

It would have been very interesting to see the inside of the Containment Unit. Of course, the Ghostbusters might have been dead meat if they went inside of it without a logical way to keep them back.

Too complex visuals? Why did'nt they just hire the same people who worked on Disney's 1981 movie “TRON”? It would have went a ways to helping them with the scene. But then again… I'm kinda glad they did'nt do a CU scene.

I always pictured the containment unit in the films as being a really small space. Its simply the area behind the cinder blocks that we see blown out when the protection grid is shutdown. Its probably half the width of the firehouse as they could have divided the space in the basement in half - one side for the ghosts, one side for the equipment/storage. The ghosts are comprised of easily compressed particles and can be “squeezed” into this space. It would simply look like bricks and a lot of psychokinetic energy.

Because according to Making Ghostbusters, it would've been whispy humanoid shapes laid over other whispy humanoid shapes in a nodestinct space. Not really the same sort of thing we would've seen in Tron.

I seem to remember the episode and from memory (I may be wrong) it was sort of a very voidless limbo with floating rocks that you could stand on

A thought crossed my mind the other day involving the containment unit. What would happen if a Ghostbuster legitamitely died and was unable to cross over? Would the Ghostbusters bust him? Would they have the heart to stuff them in the containment unit? Would any of them care if it were Peter?
