Its more of a story element, actualy (the not firing part) It builds up suspense, because in a story im still in the process of writing, i get thrown out of window if a tall building, and then chased by ghosts. I fire at the ghosts, and since the flight uses so much power, then i use the gun, its taking power from the flight to use for the firing. I freefall for some time.
somethings you have to realize, everything cant work like you want them to. if everything worked, the story would be resolved to easily. its almost like the crossing of the streams, or the traps not being able to hold anything larger than a class 10, or the PKE meter blowing up taking in PKE reading higher than a class 20…
thats what makes ghostbusters so great, is some times all the stuff doesnt work under certain circumstances.
as for the van, freak is right. fire department vans have a different setup then your van does. Ive seen vans like yours. they have narrow tires, small radials, and different length drivetrain that screws up the balance durasticly. the ceiling clearance of the van can throw the center of gravity off. even the facture of all the equipment in the van could mess up the weight balance.
if maybe you put wider tires on it, and lower the top, it could lower the apperence if it having the feeling it could tip over.
Then again, what do i know? Im just a retard from Chicago.
