Is it too late for GB III?

With the status of our four Ghostbusters, (they are all starting to show their age) is it still worth going out and making a ghostbusters III and why? (just something to think about…)

They're planning a “Goonies 2” and all of the original kids are adults now.

If Hollywood smells money nothing gets in their way.

A Ghostbusters revival may (may) just force a GB3.

Well I just heard they're making Caddyshack part 3, so why not GB3. I think that the era of sequals is upon us!

Good point, Riptide. As long as Hollywood knows it can make a profit, they will make a movie. “If you build it, they will come…” In Sony's case, it's “if it is build-able, it will be built…” Am I making sense or just rambling on? Hmmmm…. nonetheless the general view of GB3 remains the same amongst us - it will likely not be made, but we shall never give up hope.

Now, I'm new, so my opinion probably wont go very far, but it does seem that the number of sequals is wwwwaaaayy above normal. Also, hollwood will make anything that they think will generate any kind of profit(take The Hot Chick for example). So if you can round up a good cast and crew, I think GB3 is possible

Its never too late for another sequel to the best movie in history. If GB3 happens tomorrow, awesome. If it happens in 2017, ok then as long as I get to add another GB DVD to my collection. :s

I think what they should do is have the original cast in it for a little while…..then have them hire new ghostbusters…it sounds a little cheezy, but if they could get a good cast for it, it could be a good movie.

Disney is making a movie similar to ghostbusers called “ghost patrol” :1(

I was to understand that they already made a goonies sequel straight to video, about sloth having to get rescued from the circus or something? differnent cast though… can anyone confirm this? and yes GBIII is dead.

I just checked IMDB. The only Goonies 2 to exist is the NES game. There was no movie. It was just a video game.
