All I could think of is that I bet some people would think its a last attempt of glory for the boys in gray,meaning that dan,bill,harold, and ernie have to go back to old franchise to jump start there careers, but I couldn't think of a good reason why it shouldn't be made.

There aren't really many trilogies, anyway. But Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park all worked, huh?
The one reason Ghostbusters 3 shouldn't be made is that if it's not a good enough script, not enough to be considered great along with the others, than it could bring shame to the franchise.

i agree too. as one of my pals used to say, “Quit while you're at the peak”. should gb3 be a flop, everything would go downhill with it.

I just want a third GB made. It would have to be a production done right though. They can not be cheap and make a low budget film. I do not think the origional cast will have much camera time. I do not like this but realize hollywood is looking for a younger generation to saddle audiences. If it were a flop Aykroyd, Ramis, And Murray would not be at fault due to the fact they would not have had much camera time. The younger actors would be at fault. I would not want to see GB3 without at least small parts by Aykroyd, Murray, and Ramis.

I Think the only reason that it shouldn't be made is if Sony couldn't get ANY of the original cast to at least play some part in it, but that's not going to happen because Dan and Harold would jump on it.. so… that's the only reason i could think of

Star Wars Indiana Jones Jurassic Park, they all worked as trilogies because there wasn't a GREAT deal of time that passed between them. It's been 13 years since there was a Ghostbusters movie…these guys as we've seen I hate to say it have seemingly aged significantly..

Hm…but there was that 20 year or so gap between Star Wars Episodes 1-3 and Episodes 4-6. But that's because Lucas said he didn't have the money or equipment to do what he wanted to do…oh well.
Personally, I don't really mind a GB3 film. BUT, everyone else that I talk to (that I know in person or online) seems to say they hated ghostbusters, and don't want to see another movie. Seems like most of the public (besides some of us at this message board) doesn't want another film of GB. I do though! Bring it on!
