Dammit, you know what…I really freaking hate this game. I'm gonna smash it up into little pieces…

Seriously, where's my puppy? :p

Batman is just an awesome game.
+10000, and it only took me 5 WHOLE DAYS to beat it, as opposed to 5 hours (with bathroom breaks) it took me to beat GB. I'm not trying to dog GB, but BM (ha ha BM) has 3 things that GBs doesn't, 1.) Open-world gameplay, 2.) WAY better HD graphics, and 3.) a WAYYY better story (IMHO), not to mention the creep-factory. I still get goosebumps/chills EVERY time I play it.

Batman is indeed a VERY good game. It is in terms of semantics, a much better game than Ghostbusters. No offense Skanker.

One thing though Rockstar, I hardly call it “open-world.” Yeah you can go anywhere you want, but if you think about it it still have a linear plot and the “open-ness” is limited compared to say like GTA or Saints Row, Prototype, and many other games. Not saying there is anything wrong with linearity.

However, Ghostbusters has something special that Batman doesn't have. It is special to me much more because it is a franchise that has been abused so much over the years and yet is one of the best in the world. Batman has his ups and down and they usually sway back and forth. The humor of Ghostbusters is old but it is still funny and some prefer that humor than the occasional dick joke or fart noise which again makes it special.

Not saying this will ever happen, but when they finally have Batman game with him using a proton pack…you let me know.

Some claim I am in denial, some claim is it fanboyism, but it is nothing of the sorts. I know of the problems Ghostbusters has, but I am willing to over look them to experience the true goodness that Ghostbusters is and so far it has not disappointed.

I made GB last by NOT trying to beat it and I got stuck many times, as I guess I suck compared to you younger gamers.

1) Open world is fine and I praise BM for that, but it can be a curse as in many times I found myself searching to find where to go.

2) Matter of opinion. On my 50 inch, GB and BM both look f'ing fantastic. Some things in BM pop more (It runs Unreal Engine 3 which is awesome) and in GB other things like lighting and such pop more. Both are great.

3) Matter of opinion 2. To me Batman is a good storyline, but still it is Joker vs. Batman. GB was a great twist to the already established mythos of GB1 and GB2.

BM was great, but the fighting was great and then sucked at the same time. I would be fighting and hit counter and it wouldn't counter fast enough or BM wouldn't turn around. Really irritating. Also boss fights that had croanies in it SUCKED. I want to fight a boss, not a boss and 10 other guys. I hate this crap. Plus the fights get repetitive. I am at a point in the end and now I have to fight two big thing (trying to not to spoil) and small guys, which is the same as before. Kind of lack of imagination. Just my opinions as both are great games.

None taken. It is indeed an awesome game, and in my opinion, one of the best in the last 10 years.

You can't really compare the 2 games though, they are 2 very different games. The only area you can really compare is local content. Batman ended up costing almost half as much (due to Wal-Mart) and was jam packed with content and free DLC. Where as GB gave you just 6-9 hours or so of a career mode. But every game is different. And we all, unfortunately for eveyrone, know the 2 major issues I had with the GB game…..

Both offer 2 completely different experiences. The biggest downfall to Batman: Arkham Asylum for me was the lack of boss fights. I really wanted to fight Harley. There were really only 3, Poison Ivy (IMO) being the hardest. I never wanted the story to end. But, either way one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

Are you a fan of Batman though? Cause if not, there's your first clue

Yes, I have all the movies from 1989+ and all the bruce timm versions starting with Batman TAS - JLU and will be picking up Public Enemies soon

I was also Batman for halloween when I was a kid

I am a huge Batman fan, but am not a fan of the game.

I like the game, but I think it is highly overrated. Its nothing that hasn't been done before and the story was disappointing. Again the game is a lot of fun, I bought it on first day of release (a rarity for me) and have no intention of ever trading it in. I'll play it again and I love the stealth element, but at the end of the day its a good game and I know I'll get crap for this but I honestly think its just about the same as Ghostbusters. And same with you Jay I've been a fan for a number of years from BTAS to JLU from the Burton movies to the Nolan ones. And for the record, just watched Public Enemies last night and it was really good, totally worth picking up.

As I said, I'm not dogging the GBs, because I LOVE the game, but BM just seemed to offer a little more (and I'm not even a BM fan). I think A LOT of it had to do with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy (talk about HOT!), and yes I know they're not real, but then again, what woman is nowadays?(*peter)
