Isn't it just sad...

…That this place has become a second home for me. Its actually gotten to the point that when I am @ work (from 3pm est-11pm est) that I have the forums up on the computer sitting there waiting for someone to make a comment or respond to one of my comments just to have something to do.

I used to be like this for my WoW guilds forums (which I operate on my own Site server) but I am sort of an outcast in my WoW guild atm…having the uncanny ability to open my mouth and pissing people off. I keep telling them its my character…he has a Chip on his shoulder that gives him +35 to my pissiness

Anyway. I am sure that was TMI.

But like I said. This place is quickly becoming a second home to me.

Personally, Working four 10's on afternoon shift (it might as well be graveyards, getting off at 3AM), you have to find ways to pass the time.

I've been checking this forum out since before I graduated in 2002. It's more or less habbit.

Even then, back in high school, I remember playing starcraft or diablo online late into the night, it's addicting.

After work for me now, is the AWS forum, the welding web, gbprops, this place, facebook and occasionally the odd obscure game or too (lately, Arcanum). A case of beer over a few days is also up there.

It’s odd really. Whenever I make a thread or respond to a thread I wait to see who responds…I have even begun to start waiting for specific people to respond to Threads I have started / posts I have made just to read their comments on the matter.

It’s like starting in a new school ya know. From day one there are a few people you meet that you like / Think that it would be cool to be friends with…but since your still new no one knows a thing about ya / not done anything to differentiate yourself from everyone else.

I expect Kingpin or Sinister to respond to most of my posts. It's just a feeling lol.

And here was me thinking I didn't make that many posts. Well I won't reply to this one.

DAMN!

Seriously now. I don't think it's sad, it's an easy way of engaging in interesting debates with people from all walks of life, sharing a subject which you enjoy, without having to make much of an effort. You can use the forums whilst doing work, watching tv or whatever. If I'm at home for whatever purpose, then my computer is always on. And if it's on. Then you can guarantee there's a forum open in at least two windows.

I love lurking on this forum waiting for someone to respond so I can make a response as well. in addition to Sinister, Kingpin and Peter Venkmen…I also like hearing from Doc Fritz.

Hoo boy. Doc Fritz is a can of worms, that's the point when the fandom gets too deep for me. If GB Fandom was a war zone. He'd be a nuke. Power to the guy. He knows his stuff.
