I can't agree that if it were any other game without the Ghostbusters title attached that it would “blend in with the crowd”.

The concept alone of hunting and trapping ghosts would make it stand out enough.

Yeah, because you totally know we are still raving about Luigi's mansion.

Oh of course, it's exactly the same thing.
Sometimes I wrack my brain thinking of which came first.

I was hoping if he'd put out his opinion on it.

Aaand now that I've actually watched it, I can say mine is almost identical. It'd be nice to drive the Ecto-1. I never had the problem with the saving/cutscenes issue before. Guess that's because every time I've played it, it's been from start to finish in one sitting.

To have it be sandbox-esque would be equally awesome, but I'm sure someone would still find something to complain about. So say between missions, you can take the Ecto out for a spin through the streets of New York. It'd almost be like an expanded, non-sucky version of the NES game, driving around the Big Apple at your leisure (or to get to the next checkpoint). Maybe that was why they left a feature like that out of this one, to avoid drawing comparisons. *shrug* We've been spoiled by GTA and all its imitators.
