IF you hold the cartoons as proof.

The cartoons aren't exactly cannon with the movie, so it's not really proof.

I'm also PRETTY sure they didn't have knowledge that their attorney/accountant was running around with an unlicensed (?) nuclear accelerator on his back.

Since Louis joined the GBs on the steps at the end of the movie, they know. Plus, logically there'd be news footage after-the-fact showing the “heroic” Louis Tully blazing upon the shell.

But, off topic, moving on.

I, too, think it plausible that there will be a degree of customization via “sliders.” HOWEVER, cut-scenes may hamper any such deep customization. (Then again, I don't know what kind of rez power the next-gen console pack. I haven't upgraded since the N64!)

He didn't join. He effectively stole the pack. What I meant by didn't have knowledge was that he took it upon himself to do it. They didn't hire him ala Winston. Hell, Janine was effectively roleplaying with him anyhow. Closest nerdy guy with glasses she could dress up in a suit and proton pack.

That of course depends on the nature of the cutscenes… I wouldn't be all that surprised if they have the same graphical content as the regular gameplay, like the cutscenes from the Halo trilogy… which would mean a custom-crafted head could be used.

It's that or constantly hiding the newbie's face during every cutscene which seems unlikely.

Louis was their accountant and officially, still is. Louis WANTED to be a Ghostbuster. It was like his dream in the movie, and he got a feel for it, but that's all there was too it.

Exactly, just because they didn't berate him doesn't mean he's going to become the fifth Ghostbuster.

Excluding one report, everything else says that that Rick Moranis is not involved with the new game, and even if he were it was never established he was the fifth Ghostbuster. He's really a wannabe Ghostbuster.
