Just a little suggestion

How about the mods email a member a link if it's been posted be4 then deleted the post. I thin it's alot better then locking it. Also a member maybe can choose for a mod to email them or not. Just a suggestion.

That gets into the problem of people that don't post any of their contact info wink so there's no way of getting in touch with them. Then there's what the problem used to be of someones topic getting deleted and then they keep trying to repost it or complain about “why was my post deleted? it didn't violate any rules! waahhhh!” :f Locking threads is a better way to do it in most cases to give an explanation.

If a thread is locked and a link is given, it doesn't mean the discussion has to stop, there's just a better place to continue it already. Many people take it much too personally and get really worked up over nothing and if one of them replies to this thread trying saying otherwise, you're just who I'm talking about. No one should have a problem with it or you need to talk to Chad personally about changing his rules. Hopefully the more accurate search will end some of it, but then again, people have to use it for it to work wink The thing really stopping it though, is people who have no contact info.

I encourage everyone to get involved. :d Moderators don't always have to be the ones to give links. If you know where something is, feel free to help out and point someone in the right direction wink Like the other day SadEmoKid and Agent D(there may have been others I forgot) gave links to topics that have been discussed. See if you can be the first one on the scene wink

Locking is better than deleteing, because it allows others to see the old topic and continue discussion in that thread.
