And I think that if Ghostbusters the game goes really great and makes as much money as I think, Atari is going to skyrocket and become one of the “big dogs” in the Video Game industry.

We might see alot more great stuff from them more often. Activision's dropping of ghostbusters could very well lift Atari up in my oppinion. (*_*)

Not only that, but Ghostbusters the game 2 sounds pretty good

I dunno, Atari seems to have lost the Dragon Ball franchise to Namco-Bandai and that was their biggest seller for the past couple of years. At this point, it seems Ghostbusters will be the only thing keeping them afloat.

yeah, but if this goes well, they will probably pick up a few more licenses for other franchises.

They put out that last Chronicles of Riddick game, that was pretty popular. Atari's biggest problem always has been gross mismanagement.

I'm really hoping Ghostbusters hits it big, because it'll bring the franchise back into the mainstream a bit, but I have a hard time seeing this as being their last beacon of hope.

Even if the game does well, which it should, I don't think it'll be enough to boost Atari's current position. It's in enough financial dire straights that it's shutting down it's European arm.

If the game is truly lives up to the hype than I think it would definitly boost up Atari. But who knows maybe it will be a flop, although I hope not but it's not like it hasen't happened before.

Maybe it won't boost them to glory like that, but it will be a step in the right direction.

It only takes one great game to boost a company's reputation. I just hope it does really well so we get sequels to the games.
