I think this might be a steal for 599. Plus the guy selling it has a make it an offer so you might be able to get it less. I don't have 600 to waste on a toy right now but if you do this is awesome and will probally only go up.

LOL “a guaranteed investment given the the upcoming 3rd movie.”. There is no third movie yet as far as we know. I think I saw this at a convention for like $1000, though it could have been $100, wasn't really interested in paying that much for it anyway.

I just saw one go that was ungraded a week or so ago and it was between 200-300. I thought about offering 200 but I doubt the seller would take it.

Probably not. Asking for the seller to drop their price by 2/3 is often insulting to the seller and they won't even counter offer it.
That said, the whole “guaranteed investment due to the 3rd movie” thing is pretty ridiculous. This figure would not increase in value by much, if at all. There just aren't that many people out there willing to pay $600 for an old toy, no matter the condition.
It's a great piece, and it's awesome to see it in that condition, but that price is insane.

Well, there are but it depends on the toy, and the rarity of it. I know some transformers can go for like $1000. But this one isn't that rare, so the price tag is insane.

I asked him he said he take 500 for it, still to high for me though. I don't know much about the whole grading system though. I think its a good grade and for the age I doubt we'll be seeing any others that will be graded any higher.

The grading system feels like a con to me, a reason used by some sellers to add another zero or two onto the pricetag. A mint, carded Peter Venkman is not worth anywhere north of $200.
