NO. He just isnt smooth enough to capture the escense of the Ghostbusters. I think it would end up being too comical.

I hate Shayamalan, to me he hasn't made 1 good film yet because they're not scary at all, they are lame thinkers. I'm simple minded, thats y kevin smith would do it for me.

Yes, that would close the ghostbusters franchise…and hour long movie of stoners in jumpsuits cracking fart and **** jokes…yeah thats all we need. Kevin Smith needs to stick with HIS films, and the onyl two directors for GB3 are Ramis and or Ivan.

Now that's kinda sterotypical, don't ya think? his only movies are of the same genre, and you assume that's all he does. You've never seen him do other types of movies, so you couldn't possibly know how well he could do them. He recently did directed a pair of “Star Wars” commercials for Hasbro–for the Epic Duels and Game of Live: A Jedi's Path board games. That's not “too comical.”

In all seriousness, I'd have to agree to Ghostbuster_D. Kevin hasn't made any other kind of films so it doesn't mean he's not capable. Besides, its not as if Smith would write the movie, he would just direct it. Even if he did write it it wouldn't be stoner jokes because he can do serious stuff. Ever read the comic “The Call of Duty”? Thats all serious.

If you read up about kevin smith or done any research you would know Jay and Silent bob was the end of the stoner jokes. He kinda like evolved, check out his two new movies he doing now Fletch Won(Yes it going to be sequal to the fletch series) and Jersey Girl.
